I have worked for Japanese and Canadian factories. Both companies make parts for the automobile industry. I was looking for a way to help the businesses and to make them profitable.

I was at a used book store and came across a book in this series. I read it and became obsessed with reading the rest of the series.

Without giving away the messages in this book, anyone who wants to improve performance, reduce costs, increase productivity, decrease inventory, and deliver their products faster, and with increased frequency needs TO READ THESE BOOKS!!

The way the material is presented is like reading a story not a manual. It makes for interesting reading not a boring step 1. You must do this step 2. You have to do this. This book will give anyone from the lowest person on the totem pole to the highest, the knowledge to help their company become successful!!!

This was a fast and enjoyable read. It really complimented basic operations courses well. The structure and writing of the book was clear and effective and, for the most part, the reader could easily sympathize with the characters. I would recommend it to anyone learning basic operations concepts.
