Book Description

Santiago Munez is back in England and playing in the Premiership once again. He's also been selected for the 2010 World Cup and is playing on the form of his life. But things in his personal life are more complicated - his troublesome brother has moved from Spain to England to learn to play football like his brother, his wife Ros has a new job, and they have a three-year-old daughter to take care of. When disaster strikes during an international warm-up match and Santi is injured, it looks like his dream of playing in the greatest competition of them all is over. Can he prove himself physically and mentally match-fit in time for the finals...?

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting read, December 17, 2009

This review is from: Goal (Paperback)
The author took his time in coming up with a great plot to capture his reader's attention. The story builds up well and keeps the reader waiting for the results of many of its hanging subplots. The story takes place in the future. Santiago Munez' life is fast forwarded in time, so the reader get's a glimpse of his life beyond what we know of Santiago from the last movie of this supposed trilogy, GOAL I, II, and III. But in the end, this book culminates into one great read. If I were to say anymore I'd give away the storyline.
