5.0 out of 5 stars Watch out for sharks!, February 15, 2006
This review is from: Goat Milk Magic: One of Life's Greatest Healing Foods (Dr. Jensen's Health Handbook, #6) (Paperback)
Great book! Goat's milk and even raw cow's milk can be well tolerated. Almost anyone should be able to tolerate at least fermented dairy products such as Kefir, which can be made from goat's milk, because the protein is predigested. Also suggested is the Untold Story of Milk, by Schmid. Beware, however, used booksellers, like the above, who want to charge $80.00 or more for a book that can be found new, from other sources for $14 or $15. I wish amazon would stock it new so these people would not rip-off other people!

Could be a story for the ages,

author himself was diagnosed as chronically ill at the youthful age of 18

Through a recommendation from a friend, started daily consumption of raw and fresh goat milk

Claims this alone was the catalyst or event that raised him up from his deathly diagnosis

Was to tour many countries where goats were used as a mainstay, brought back special stories and useful information on goat selection and herding, went right to the family farms and also meets with people that are more than

125 yrs old still in a healthful existence from daily raw goat milk intake

He later was to open several California sanatoriums for chronically ill patients with no hope, whom the medical institutions would call incurable

Goat herds were at each ranch as he calls his health communities, and as clients recovered they were expected to

assist in the daily milking,so many would recover their health and bring back goats when leaving

One Seattle man,a young 6'+ giant of a man was sent to Dr Jensen by his family as a last hope, 110lbs soaking wet when he would arrive, chronically energy less, within the year walks away robust and 180 lbs to the good

Do not be fooled, this book breaks it down carefully, from credible studies done eons ago to modern day looks at before and after effects from healthy whole food consumption

You will understand goats and their logical existence,WoW

There are pics throughout book,

He shows how time and again messing with mother natures offerings can and will break the body

Highly recommended for what this is supposed to be,read and gain inspiration, knowledge and hope!
