Product Description

Don't put your active lifestyle on hold when you have a new baby. You should have the freedom to continue to seek adventure, travel, visit, and play, just as you had before. The GoCrib gives you this freedom.

The GoCrib is a standard size, ultra-portable travel crib that packs into a lightweight backpack for ultimate freedom. Its rigid-inflatable structure sets up quickly, and creates a strong and safe environment for your baby anywhere you go. Take it on vacation or to grandma's. But, it's not just for overnight trips - take it to the park, the beach, a soccer game, a friend's house, or simply in the living room for day-to-day use...your baby still needs to sleep and play while you are on the go.

For Sleep, Play and Beyond:

The GoCrib creates a wonderful sleep and play area for your baby. The insulating mattress keeps them padded from the ground, and the strong, angled sides keep it stable and sturdy, even with your little one standing up or with siblings leaning against the sides. The closeable side door gives your child an easy way to crawl in and out so they think of it as a fun place to be (rather than a prison). This creates a familiar place for your baby so they will sleep well when on the go. And when they sleep well, you sleep well.

Easy Setup and Packing:

Set up is fast and simple with the included dual-action pump that inflates the crib in less than a minute. Its pressure gauge tells you when it is ready to use. To pack, the valves lock open to make deflation a snap. Once deflated, the GoCrib stuffs into its backpack just like a sleeping bag.

The GoCrib backpack enables hands-free portability, so you can still carry your baby and your diaper bag, or push a stroller. And it's so small that it takes up a fraction of the space in a car trunk and easily fits into the overhead compartment on an airplane.

What You Get:

Guava Family GoCrib, backpack, mattress, pump, pressure gauge, and assembly instructions.

We purchased this after being disappointed in the Baby Bjorn travel crib, the Phil & Ted's traveller, and the Kidco Peapod. The Baby Bjorn is huge and must be checked(so it ends up costing more after just a few trips), the P&T's was made of noisy material that woke the baby, and the Peapod looks like a collapsible dog kennel. The GoCrib is fantastic!! Easy to set up, easy to take down. The baby sleeps beautifully in it!! Lightweight, but sturdy. You can move it all over easily when set up. What we love most? You can carry it on the airplane with you, no paying extra to check a crib, no worrying the airline will lose it because it's checked. It's compact and lightweight so it fits right in the overhead bin. If you are looking for an awesome travel crib solution this is what you want.

I spent a lot of time researching travel sleep options for our DD, as we have to travel a lot in her first year of life. We've done a 2-week trip when she was 2 months old and two one-month-long trips when she was 3-4 months old and 4-5 months old with our GoCrib thus far.

The top contenders when I was doing my research were the Phil & Ted's travel crib and the Baby Bjorn. The appeal of the Bjorn is that it's very easy to assemble - you literally just unfold it and it's ready to go. However, it is rather large when folded and cannot be brought onto the plane as carry-on. This was an important consideration for us, as we did not want to be stuck with lost luggage and nowhere for our baby to sleep! The Phil & Ted's, while smaller when packed, was more difficult to assemble and seemed to have some quality control issues with the feet breaking off. Also, the mattress surface area is not very large: it's long, but very narrow.

One thing that made me nervous about the P&T and BB was that, in both cribs, the mesh does not continue all the way to the bottom of the crib. There is a band of fabric about 5 inches high surrounding the mattress. Personally, I would have had a hard time sleeping easily knowing that my LO could have rolled over and pushed her face up against the fabric. I've heard that this feature is there to prevent drafts from hitting the baby - however, I like the fact that the Guava GoCrib has mesh sides all the way down, ensuring good air circulation and making for a safer sleep environment.

The Guava CoCrib is a nice size when inflated - this makes it a little large for some spaces, but it also makes it more versatile as a place where baby can play as well as sleep.

We have had the GoCrib for 2 years now, and hands down, it's our favorite kid product. We have four children (5 1/2, 5 1/2, 2 1/2, and 1) and, not knowing any better purchased pack-n-play's when our twins were born. We got the GoCrib when our third child was about 1 - and realized what a better quality product it was. With four children, the GoCrib is a go-to item at our house. We take it with us when we travel, use it at the park and beach for outings, and keep it set up in our back yard for easy containment. All of our children use it consistantly. Our twins use it as a tent, our 2 year-old uses it as a quite sitting place, and our 1 year old uses it as a playpen/crib. It's durable (our twins have sat on it on occasion to talk to their siblings), easily moveable (the 2 year-old drags it around to find the perfect spot) and parent friendly. It's easy to pack up, load up, and take down. I love that it's easy to take anywhere. If you are looking for a practical item, that you will use all the time, and that is easy and convenient - take it from a mom of four - this is the portable crib/play yard for you!

I purchased two go cribs a little over one year ago when my twins were about 5 months old. I really love these cribs - they are light, easy to put up and have travelled by plane and car more than 12 times. We've tried the co-sleeper and peapod as well and these are by far the best travel option. (The baby bjorn seems heavy and difficult based on some reviews so we didn't try it)
After one year, here is what I have learned! Being on the floor does get chilly for the babies, even with an extra pad and sheet. We solve this with a heater nearby, but cold babies are not good sleepers!
Before walking, they are fantastic! Assembly is very easy (even when you arrive late and everyone is tired and cranky). We never had any issue wih the netting or zipper and have always had fairly curious babies (I think it helps that we don't use the zipper, so don't have to worry about them copying us).
However, I do find that we have to refill the air frequently or the cribs deflate and with 18 month olds, the kids are apt to climb out and walk around a bit now. They pull the sides down and climb/crawl right over! We were bowled over the first time we saw it. So, if you can convince your kids to stay in and don't mind the frequent air refill these are the best option for travel in my opinion.
Also two go cribs fit nicely in a golf bag to check for air travel (with extra room for the return trip).

Verified Purchase
Wish we came across this sooner. Initially bought our newborn a combo bassinet / travel crib from a popular manufacturer. Was nearly 25 lbs and a pain to take down and travel with. When we heard about the Guava GoCrib we ordered one immediately. To say that we are thrilled is an understatement. We hate cheap crap and this is NOT cheap crap. Its very well built from high end inflatable materials covered in a soft durable protective covering. Its fills in seconds with the supplied pump and the self sealing valves are fantastic. We are big in adventure sports and have a high end inflatable kayak. This reminds us of that, built to last, not a cheap inflatable. Very safe, and VERY packable. This blows the socks off the Bjorn travel crib and anything else we have seen.
