Each chapter contains a devotional reading to prepare the reader for God's grace and to help establish their faith in His goodness and mercy.

The eight chapters in the book focus on: Forgiveness, Choosing to Triumph, Friendship, Prayer, Taking a Stand, Choosing Life, Choosing Salvation and Choosing Love. Everyone reading this book will have a personal favorite. I had several. But the one that touched me the most was Saving Babies.

The stories will make your heart sing, bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eyes. While the stories are personal to each of the women telling them, we can all recognize a bit of ourselves in some of them. And they will make you consider your own U-Turns in life.

Armchair Interviews suggests: Carry this book with you to read in the small breaks we all have daily. Or read the devotional before bed and then choose a story or two. You will be enriched and challenged. What is the enrichment and challenge? Each woman will decide that for herself.

I love reading stories of women who have been changed completely and dramatically by the power of an awesome God! This book is full of real women with real issues-and real changes. From cover to cover I found the message that it's never too late to make a change, and that sometimes God can surprise us with a change more spectacular than we could ever have imagined. There is such victory in the pages of this book!

I've kept this book on my nightstand, savoring these stories that offer encouragement and support in areas such as relationships, health, finances, and life transitions. When we can read about how other sisters in Christ handled their various trials, it can give us ideas of how we can tackle our own.

God Allows U-Turns for Women is a book about women, written by women who are willing to share their experiences. The stories are grouped by subject, and the women who wrote them are very open about what happened in their lives. Although each story spotlights a serious problem, there is a strong note of hope in each one. You'll find stories about making choices, choosing to forgive, choosing to be a friend, chosing life, love, and salvation. There's even one on chosing whether or not to pray. This book is a strong testimony of what God can do in our lives, if we just allow Him to take control. I enjoyed it very much.

I must admit, when I picked up this book, I thought I would only read a few of the stories. I'm more interested in in-depth Bible studies and teaching texts. Perhaps I would skip through and pick out some of the interesting stories that would be sure to keep my attention.
As often happens when I jump to conclusions, I was in for a surprise. From the time I read the first story I was hooked. Although each story is just the right length for devotional reading, I found it hard to stop at just one or even two stories. Each woman's true story reminded me that God still works His miracles everyday in ordinary lives with extraordinary results. I rejoiced at each woman's triumph and each reminded me that there is a common thread that runs through all of our lives. We have common feelings and common struggles and One source of salvation.

Great book! It gets a thumbs up from me.
