Editorial Reviews

Review

From Huffington Post:
Young displays here both his depth as a writer and passion for the art itself-much of which he traces back to Kurt Vonnegut. In a chapter devoted to teachers, Young recounts both experiences in his own public schooling and his feelings for Vonnegut as a passive teacher of sorts. Young also touches on the incredibly personal and political, recounting painful dealings with the US "health care system." There's a little bit of everything in here. And something for everyone. And at $3.99, it's hard to go wrong.

Format: Paperback
There is a fine, fine line between a novel BY Kurt Vonnegut and a novel NAMED Kurt Vonnegut. As for the book itself, I put it slightly below Mr. Young's LOST AT THE CON, which you should already have read by now.

I reach for this book over and over again. Sometimes I read it cover to cover, sometimes I'm looking for something specific, sometimes I flip this book open at random. It still doesn't fail to inspire emotion and empathy in me. A must read for a Vonnegut fan, a huge recommend to anyone.

I have taught God Bless You Mr. Vonnegut for 30 years to accelerated students. All I wanted was an electronoic copy of Vonnegut's book. What I got was a sophomoric cheerleader's approving rant.
