I couldn't have said it better. Excellent review. Right on the political aspect. But they are also philoshopical. There is a song for every of my moods - from near classicla all the way to techno. Though I must admit the instrumental themes blow me away. Where will it take you? I love his French tracks... but I read that he'll have an all English disc out soon. I heard some tracks on MySpace. Can't wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sophomore outing!, March 23, 2004
This review is from: God Blesse (Audio CD)
Damien Saez's follow up to his debut album, Jours Etranges, is God Blesse. It ranges from techno to mellow to rock to almost classical.
Saez's debut album was an album about social separation and alienation and he continues with those themes here. The first disc is full of tracks such as J'Veux Du Nucleaire and Solution that are overtly political as well as songs like J'Veux Qu'On Baise Sur Ma Tombe which are more personal but still have that edge. The tracks on the first disc are shorter, more to the point and more opinionated. He has something to say and no one's going to stop him!
The second disc is much more laid back and mellow. He seems to have let off some steam on the first one and here he just goes with the flow letting his tracks finish when it seems just right. There's no point in rushing a good song.
Saez has a knack for mixing different genres onto one double album that doesn't feel disjointed and seems to flow just right. The tracks range in length from the 12 second Silence to the fourteen minute Theme I.
All in all he provides us with an excellent two hours of listening.
