I read "God Came Near" in nearly no time at all. Max Lucado's books, especially this one, show the way to Christ. In reading this book I finally realized that Jesus was a human just like the rest of us and He knows what we feel and the struggles we endure from first-hand experiences. This book was wonderful and I recommend it to anyone seeking Jesus.

This book is amazing; it was the first book I was given as a new believer in Christ and I found it so thought provoking and inspirational. You will "see" Jesus in a way you never have before- and maybe for the first time. I highly recommend this book.

Lucado's writing is so moving. I am thankful that he is a Christian and put his amazing talent for writing for use for Christ. I couldn't recommend this book more highly. I like the way the chapters are broken down. It is very easy to read and I enjoyed every word of it.

Reading this book helped me come to a much better understanding of just what our Savior did for us! To leave Heaven in all of its glory and splendor and come to earth to become a human! Max brings the Incarnation into such focus. I found myself in tears several times as I considered God's sacrifice for me! What a blessing! This book is going to my favorite people this Christmas!

What else could I say except Awsome!! Tis is a must read for all christians! I had my 9th grade homeschooled daughter read this and report each day what she'd learned and it was so awsome to read what came from her. We as parents should educate our kids with this kind of literature. And thats what I like most about Max is the easy to understand thought he puts on paper and I love how his mind work to make the teaching of Gods truths so simple and to the point! Read and you will not be disappointed!

God Came Near is a book that you will read again and again. God does come near. Closer than you would ever imagine. Max Lucado is by far the BEST Christian author of our time. He brings Jesus into your heart and into your life in such a clear and concise way. God has blessed Max with the ability to share God's love through his writing and wisdom. I have almost every one of his books and never tire of reading a Max Lucado book.

The message's alone are great to listen to, and the music is fantastic! I'm hard to please, but this CD is great, it will help you better understand God, it will help you strengthen the Holy Spirit in you, it will help you be a disciple for God. God is in every song and word of this CD. It will help you give your heart to God. Young and Old alike, love this CD. This CD will fill your heart with JOY!

Max shares some of his wonderful wisdom in stories. The music and songs will have you singing at the top of your lungs and lifting your hands to heaven....watch out! it'll even happen as you're listening in your car! Get this one and 'God Came Near' ; you won't be sorry.

This became my favorite Christmas album (and year-round album) the first time I heard it! There are so many places in this recording when I cry as Max brings Jesus' love right to me. The truths in this recording should be heard by everyone! A thank you to Mr.Lucado for his sensitivity and desire to bring the love of Jesus to all people.

Though this is typically thought of as something to be listened to during the Christmas season, I listen to it year-round when I need a lift about my worth, a reminder of how wondrous God's love is, or for any other reason or for no reason at all. This is truly one of my all-time favorite audio recordings. You can't listen to this without your heart swelling with the love that God has for you!
