This book is what I needed to hear. With tears in my eyes, I read that the frustration I was feeling, that the whole Church is feeling, is because the Church, and myself, are pregnant with the purposes of God. We are in just the right position to receive His anointing (p. 165).

Tommy Tenney has more than bested his earlier blockbuster--The God Chasers. Chasers was a must read book. Catchers is an absolute necessity.

From finding the "key" to the back stairs leading to God's heart, to the revelation that the purpose of worship in church should be to bless God not be a bless-me club for the worshippers, the principles found in the God Chasers position us to catch and retain the next wave of God's blessing.

I've been a Christian for twenty-seven years and hold an earned doctorate in Theology. Yet, upon completing this book, I feel like I am starting afresh on a new level. The truth of the Father in this book has changed me. Don't read this book unless you are willing to be changed.

In "The God Chasers," Tommy Tenney told how to become a God chaser the right way and how to get out of a stagnent spiritual life. This book goes to the next level. In "The God Catchers," He tells about exactly what is wrong with worship in today's churches. He also talks about how churches have had the wrong focus and haven't been fulfilling God's intended purpose. He pulls no punches. He tells the truth and lays it all on the line. In fact, religious legalists and those that do church playing by the numbers will have a lot of trouble with this book.
This church should be read by everyone who wants to see their church get back on track. In addition, every single pastor in America should read this book. This will certainly tell you what to do to get your church where God wants it to be and where your focus needs to be. I must warn you though, if you're used to man's ways and a regular organized system and style for having church, this book may rock the boat a bit for you. This book is only for those that are serious about getting their church out of man's will and into God's will. After all, isn't that where we should be anyway?

This book was read front to back at least 3 times so far by me. The first time I read it, I couldn't help but go back and re-read, because I would get lost in prayer and my amazement for God. It is an amazing book, and a must read. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to grow closer to God in a very intimate and human way.

Words cannot express this power-filled book!! I simply must say READ IT!!! It will totally burn your heart for God in a way you will have never experienced. It is completely Biblical and extremely reader friendly. Again, I cannot express in words the passion in this book. Simply said, read it!

Catch God anywhere. He wants to be caught so chase Him down. This is so true. It's God and me, not me just talking about God.

If you feel like God "hides" sometimes, you are right! The Bible demonstrates this, and Scripture references backing this up can be found throughout this book by Tommy Tenney. BUT, God does NOT REMOVE Himself from us! He is omnipresent and promises to be with us always, even to the end of the Age (last words of the book of Matthew). So if you want MORE of God, to know Him better, and understand how to find Him in the moment-by-moment things in this life, read this book! Our book club is learning SO much!

This book has given me a deeper insight on one of my favorite verses in the bible. From the book of Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Oh how I love to wait on the Lord and serve him.
May God forever bless Tommy Tenney for sharing with us what God has poured into his spirit.

I really was looking forward to reading this after "The God Chasers," but it could not compare. I find a lot of repetition in this book and although I'm reading (a lot slower than God Catchers) I could not recommend it like I would God Catchers.

If you want to know how to be in the presence of God, then read this book. Once I started reading, I didn't want to stop. If you are searching and wondering where God is, then read this book and you will know where and how to find Him. Have ever had a God-shock moment, when you knew without a shadow of a doubt that God was speaking to you through another person, through His word or to your heart? Do you want more of those moments? Tommy Tenney tells us how to seek and find Him and that even a 30-second glance will keep you seeking His presence your whole life. This is my first Tommy Tenney book, but it won't be my last.
