About the Author
John A. Henderson, M.D. graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1945. He interned at Research and Educational Hospital, Chicago, Illinois and was a surgical resident at Scott And White Clinic, Temple, Texas. He spent his first career in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Colonel in 1972. During his Air Force career, he was stationed in England, Spain, and Japan as well as in various states from New York to California. After retiring from the Air Force, he practiced general surgery in Asheville, North Carolina Until 1994. He is now semi-retired, assisting other surgeons, and performing the duties of County Medical Examiner.
