Careful precision and wonderful wit, Proves that God Does Exist, October 26, 2009
This review is from: God Does Exist!: Defending the faith using presuppositional apologetics, evidence, and the impossibility of the contrary (Paperback)
You should ask yourself some questions before buying this intriguing book by Michael A. Robinson:
Are you one who craves all rational evidence for the existence of God, from the smallest details to the grandest transcendent concepts?
Do you adore profound and uplifting proof, as well as technical intellectual minutiae?
Relish witty illustrations and tales regarding how to defend theism?
Have an inquisitive mind seeking the latest advances in Christian apologetics?
If this is you, Robinson provides a unique and fascinating study of apologetics, philosophy, logic, mathematics, and ethics as he demonstrates that God Does Exist! This volume provides fresh insights in defending the faith: it will equip you and motivate to share your faith with the open seeker or hardened non-believer. If you desire to learn how to prove and apply the absolute certainty of Christian truth to refute atheists, agnostics, and skeptics, this book is for you. This work exposes the fallacies and unsound interpretations of those who deny theism.
I found this book to be logical and compelling, and I found myself with no sound way to refute what Robinson was saying. This work makes difficult terms and concepts easy to understand. Yet his thoroughness, his ability to dive into excruciating detail makes this a significant apologetic advance for the hungry scholar. It provides just plain persistent reasoning, logic, and unrelenting evidence that God must exist. He seems to gather evidence from all human experience as he teaches you to see through the only certain rational prism.
The author also blesses the reader with the Largest and Most Exhaustive List of Self-refuting Statements and Self-defeating Statements ever compiled with the clear explanations of those errors: very effective to use when people deny certain truth and absolutes.
For those who are unfamiliar with modern epistemic intricacies or philosophical terminology, Robinson defines and formulates the terms and concepts in an entry-level manner. He accomplishes such while simultaneously supplying penetrating analysis that will greatly profit the learned philosopher.
He proscribes ways to:
1. Refute atheism
2. disprove agnosticism
3. trump relativism
4. witness more effectively, and ignite a fresh passion for the things of God.
Plus he gives you the intellectual tools to defeat rationalism, empiricism, materialism, false religions, and the New Atheism. Robinson uses mathematics, a priori notions, presuppositions, transcendental starting points, and the correct context for evidence to demonstrate the absolute truth of Christianity.
This book is a fun and enjoyable read, but it is not for the fragile of heart because it is a robust and engaging confrontation with unbelief.
Pick this book up it will help you make the proper rational pre-commitments as you apply the biblical presuppositions which constitute the remarkable and invincible proof for Christian theism. The author supplies a compelling resource that I would recommend to use in apologetics, Bible studies, Sermon outlines, illustrations, and simple spiritual growth.

Defending the faith using deep intellectual Bible truths, November 9, 2009
This review is from: God Does Exist!: Defending the faith using presuppositional apologetics, evidence, and the impossibility of the contrary (Paperback)
I just plain liked this book. the writer, using such a fresh eye, caught me off guard by using an approach that is impossible for an atheist to rationally answer. it is a stategy that is both intellectually unique and compelling for the average person, like me, and for the very smart intellectual.
the book also gives us some wonderful chapters on proper ways to evangelize the lost.
Robinson gives a ton of great quotes from scholars and sages, but the logically intense and simple to understand arguments are what makes this book a must read.
- he gives a certain proof for God's existence based on the laws of logic, moral laws, a transcendental starting point - so it's intellectually stirring and an enjoyable read. - if you like winning apologetic arguments from greg bahnsen, william lane craig, jp moreland, ravi zacharias, machen, and cornelius van til - then this is a christian apologetics book for you.
While I draw this fleeting breath,
when mine eyes shall close in death,
when I soar to worlds unknown,
see thee on thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
let me hide myself in thee.
