What a great CD!,

What's good about it?Instruction employs an old rock standard on "Great"; faded guitars leading into a full fledge wall of sound. It a boastful song about that brags you're nothing, and they're great (well, not you specifically). Meaty riffs can be found on "Lean on You". The verses accentuate the vocals and push the rhythm into the backround. Errie, distant vocals over electronic drum beats are prominent on "Are You Happy". I can hear a little Sevendust on this track. The vocals take a melodic turn on "I'm Dead". Even the guitar solo has a melodic flow to it. This could be a strong radio track. A chunky bass line dualing with the same guitar line starts off "Breakdown". The pitch level of the vocals is raised a bit, which makes for a powerful chorus section. A little Middle Eastern flare is added to the fret work on "Feed the Culture", while a bluesy hook controls "Your Punk Sucks". The 7+ minute "God Doesn't Care" starts off with an effective opening lick and builds to an intense chorus. Anything bad? No. Bottom Line What a great CD! Instruction come out of left field and hit a home run (sorry about the baseball referrence, but hey it's summer!). There style can be describes as straight rock rhytms mixed with indutrial style vocals. Prong and Sevendust come to mind. Be mindful of the lyrics as well. Most of their songs contain political and social views we should all give some thought to.

Damn Good,

The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because not EVERY song is good, and on top of that, it took me about 2 months to like this cd. I dont exactly know why i didn't like this at first, but now that I've opened up, it's definitely some bad@$$ hard music. Great, Lean On You, Are You Happy?, Breakdown are the best songs. The wierd thing is the vocalist can go from having a great hard singing voice to a slightly annoying high pitched screams at certain points in almost every song. Never seen someone with such a good voice try and kill it by screamin like a girl, but oh well, if you can get past that you'll love this cd.

New York based Instruction brings REAL rock to the stage. A mixture of bandmates from Errortype:11, Garrison, and Quicksand have come together to make one of the best rock records in a long time. Instruction creates a beautiful collaberation of hard rock guitar riffs, powerful lyrics and perfected melodies. The album is also has somewhat of a variety going from underground punk to alternative to old fashioned metal. So basically, its hard to find something on this record you WON'T like. Definetly, "God Doesn't Care" will not disappoint.
