5.0 out of 5 stars I cryed, I laughed, I deeply connected
This is a heart and soul touching audio which helped me realize that spirituality is in me and all others I meet. What an enjoyable journey Ms. Brady has taken me on!

1.0 out of 5 stars A total waste of money
This is a good example of "You can't tell a book by its cover". My wife and I ride Harleys, and enjoy reading books on many different subjects. We also think we have some spiritual sensitivity. Anyway, my Harley lady saw this book while Christmas shopping, and picked it up for me as a stocking-stuffer. When I opened it, I jokingly asked her if she found it in...

5.0 out of 5 stars Are you tired of hurting inside and feeling unworthy of love, April 3, 1997
By A Customer
This is the best book I have ever read. I am not a reader. Itwas extremely easy to understand and so uplifting. I now have anotherset of commandments for taking care of me which is something that I thought I didn't deserve! I have posted the commandments around the house as a constant reminder. I have bought lot's of copies for family and friends. I hope Joan Brady writes more.

A great tape. The narrator is fabulous and really brings this story to life. I could listern to her for hours. I have bought 3 of these and gave 2 to my friends who also gave it a 5 rating. Entertaining as well as mentally stimulating. Especially for you women out there who would like to review your life with a new perspective! Highly recommend it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book changed the way I approach living my life., January 24, 1998
By A Customer
My 32-year-old sister lent me this book to read over Christmas - our first Christmas without our mother, who died recently of cancer. I am 36, and at a crossroads in my life as I consider career options, children, etc. I found this book compelling and uplifting, despite the fact that in the beginning, I did not particularly care for the author's style. By the end, I was hooked by the message, and it's been rolling around in my mind ever since. I've enjoyed discussing it with my sister, and there are four women friends I'd like to buy it for - immediately!

5.0 out of 5 stars You CAN teach an ol' dog new tricks..., July 10, 1997
By A Customer
I listened to the casette tapes. This book addresses concerns/issues for both types of people; the "Christian" as well as the non-christian. I personally related to some of Christine's issues ( age, playing "hard", always trying to be in control, worrying about tomorrow), as well as Joe's "advice".. there were times I found myself answering her questions before he (Joe) did. I laughed..I felt sad.. but most of all, I related !!!!! I even found myself taking notes! I plan to listen to the tapes again because just as Christine noted... it's hard to break old habits that youv'e "cultivated" for ? years...

5.0 out of 5 stars This journey culminates in a renewal of the spirit., January 8, 1997

Brief references to Christianity aside, this book takes one woman on an ecumenical and very spiritual journey to rediscovering herself. It is an inspiration to anyone whose life is stuck in idle and guaranteed to rev you up. Put on your helmet and hold on tight. The new commandments offer an exciting and different approach to living one's life

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't forget about the audio version..., October 10, 2003
By
Kelley W. (West Hills, CA USA) - See all my reviews
I read for a living, so reading for pleasure is now, unfortunately, not the most appealing. I have turned to Audio Books, and what a joy they have been. I'm particularly thrilled to have "read" God on a Harley. In short, it changed my life, much the same as it has for the reviewers before me, and I've recommended it to all my friends. If you're not a big reader or feel you just don't have the time, check out the audio version. You'll find yourself not wanting to get out of the car so you can finish the chapter!

5.0 out of 5 stars God on a Harley: A Spiritual Fable, April 18, 2003
By
GINA L BUONOCORE (Brooklyn, New York) - See all my reviews
I was told to read this book by a very mysterious person months ago. It took me nine months to actually purchase the book. I still do not know why I waited so long. From the moment I received the book I couldn't put it down. The cover says it all "IF YOU'VE EVER HAD A BROKEN HEART...." read this wonderful book. It really helps you understand yourself and makes you realize that you can learn to love by learning & loving yourself first.
