An amazing book on an even more amazing topic,
By Andy Dunn "Andy Dunn" (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: God Loves You (Paperback)
Charles Spurgeon's clear and easy-to-follow sermon style is well-represented in this book. Though his progression of topics is orderly and logical, it is never tedious. Quite the contrary, Spurgeon's passion for the topic lights up every page.Consisting of 6 chapters: 1. Life's Need and Maintenance 2. Christ, the Tree of Life 3. Our Lord's Preaching 4. The Poor Man's Friend 5. Christ Is All 6. Marvelous Lovingkindness, this book provides a wonderful introduction to the most mysterious and most important truth a human can encounter -- God really does love you. Biblically and doctrinally sound, with numerous Scriptural references included in the text.

God's Unceasing Love For His People,
This review is from: God Loves You (Paperback)
The magnificent ever-relevant preacher Charles Spurgeon offers a marvelous little book (154 pages) concerning God's love for His people. Spurgeon reveals through his lucid biblical exposition that God's love is our supreme source of our joy. He unfolds this mirth sustaining truth page after page as he stirs your heart for Jesus Christ: Savior and Lord.
One of my favorite quotes from this uplifting volume is: "If you have anything apart from Christ, if you can live five minutes on past experience, if you can live on yesterday's grace, you make a mistake" (p. 35). Spurgeon stands on: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2Timothy 1:7). The author expounds the numerous ways that the Lord demonstrates His unconditional love for His people. This alluring book will encourage you and charm you by helping you discover: - Real love and joy - Deep and abiding peace - God's unceasing persevering work for you and with you - True emotional and spiritual wholeness - Ways to improve your prayer life. Grand exposition of: "But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: `Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I [will be] with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. 3 For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior...'" (Isaiah 4:1-2). God Does Exist!: Defending the faith using presuppositional apologetics, evidence, and the impossibility of the contrary
