This is a great song muscially, but it goes toward the edge (no pun intended) of Bono's sanctimoniousness..that was one of the things that used to turn the guys in school off of U2. But everybody was with Bono when he said "don't believe in Goldman, his type like a curse, Instant Karma's going to get him, if I don't get him first." Don't mess with Bono, he'll flip ya, flip ya for real...
Also kinda hubristic to both cover Helter Skelter and to write a part II of one of Lennon's songs and put them on the same album. At least they covered Helter Skelter, though - took it out of it being a taboo song to play. |
