One of my favorite albums - Christian or not,
By
This review is from: God (Audio CD)
I listen to both Christian and non-Christian rock and this album is one of the best albums I own and is, without question, Rebecca St. James' best effort to date.
There are 11 tracks on the album (Track 10 is extended and contains a 'hidden' track) and all but 2 are exceptional. The lyrics are well-crafted, uplifted and powerful. The music goes hand-in-hand - paired perfectly to give the lyrics the most impact. From time to time, when I'm feeling low, this album is a great pick-me-up and a reminder about the wonders of God, faith and forgiveness.

One Great CD!,

I bought "God" about 3 years ago. It was the first Christian CD that I had ever bought and still today it is one of the most listened to CD's in my collection. The songs are all exceptionally well written and the music is phenomenal. My personal favorite on the album is "Go and Sin No More". Whenever I listen to this song, I get dragged in every time and by the second half of the song, I am just singing my heart out with her. Rebecca's newer albums are great, but to me, none of them reach the spiritual depth that this album brings me to. All the songs say their message in a plain language that is quite refreshing without seeming extremely preachy about it. Rebecca St. James is far and away my favorite singer in Contemporary Christian music yesterday and today and her albums continue to entertain me.

Rebecca St. James is a brilliant song writer incorporating sound doctrine. She uses her strong voice in a definite rock sound of praise of God and what a Christian should strive to do for their Savior.God by Rebecca St. James & Teddy T A song about what God has created and who God is. Then with a question why should he take us as His children. Scripture Psalm 8:3-4 When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars which thou hast established;
Your the Voice by M. Ryder, A. Quinta & C Thompson You Then Me by Bob Halligan jr. and Graham Shaw Speak to Me by Rebecca St. James, Josh Deaton & Teddy T Not to be confused with the song titled Here I Am on Rebecca St. James first Album. That song is also about volunteering to serve God and have God prepare one's heart. And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." (Isaiah 6:8 RSV) Abba Father by Rebeca St. James,Tedd T & Otto Rrice For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of sonship. When we cry, "Abba! Father!" it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, Me Without You by Martin Briley I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned. (John 15:5-6 RSV) That's What matters by Rebecca St. James & Teddy T For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 RSV) Carry Me High by Rebecca St. James, Tedd T & Michael Anderson Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up." (Daniel 3:16-18 RSV) Go Sin No More by Rebecca St. James, Todd T & Michael Anderson When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
