This book as I just stated is "life changing", I was so taken by the stories that I finished it in 2 days. I had lunch with my Pastor yesterday, 1/8/09, and took the book with me for him to see. He read one story and asked me to lend it to him when I finished reading it, consider that done. I was not a church going person until March 4, 2007 due to another life changing experience which greatly is confirmed by these stories. I would advise anyone, but particularly those who have lost a loved one to read this book, it will bring you tears, then relief as you will realize that all will be OK. My wife passed on 3/30/07 and now as the result of this book I'm sure she is "over there" waiting for me. Thank you Jennifer Skiff.

I want to thank Jennifer Skiff for being so kind while she was sorting out our experiences for her book, "God Stories: Inspiring Encounters With The Divine'. She listened, with patience and an open heart, as we relived amazing experiences and painful memories. I have to say that the decision to edit this book could not have come without it's hardships for Jennifer. Hearing stories, some filled with pain, grief, and loneliness had to have been very difficult for her.

Yet, amazingly, she has now been told by hundreds of people, that this book has changed their lives!...given them hope!...brightened their world! Thank you, Jennifer Skiff, for helping so many people. God has truly blessed you.

I believe it was Mother Angelica, founder of EWTN, who said that we will never know the answers to certain questions until we ask God, face to face. Until then, we have to help one another. In my estimation and experience, this book definitely does that. Wow, does it do that!

I feel a bond with the other contributors who have each shared their own unique story in this inspiring book. Jennifer's own story, along with Jane Seymour's and 135 others make for great reading and thoughtful contemplation. How can you explain a rainbow appearing in a dreary, cloudy sky; how can you explain miraculous healings; how can you explain a feeling of such great and profound peace that it seems like you've been in heaven for a few minutes? Well...

I was given such a wondrous gift of peace when I needed it most. And, I know that God gave it to me. I don't need anyone to tell me that it was a coincidence or my imagination. God spoke to me and answered my prayers. I have no doubt.

Read 'God Stories: Inspiring Encounters With The Divine' and find peace. And, listen for your own 'God Story'. We all have them.

My conversations with Ms. Skiff ("Jen") revealed her warmth, a realist attitude and view, and her genuineness. Her stories - collected here - emit that same warmth ... and are most inspiring.
If I hadn't had a similar "God Story", I would be hard-pressed to believe some of them. But, I now know them to be "God Stories" ... for real. Why? Because - you may have guessed it - I'm one of those stories. Without question, my experience (at age 59) was my 1st ... and took me from being a skeptic about God to a "lifelong" believer. Jen Skiff has given me an enormous gift with this collection. I urge you - the reader - to explore God Stories. They may well change your life, and your view. Thanks. JBB

Through my husband's NDE in 2001 he was granted a very special blessing of being able to talk with a spiritual being and was given a message to give to others. He came back to life after being pronounced dead for 20 minutes, survived longer than any doctor or surgeon said he could and he was given this opportunity to tell his message through Jennifer's wonderful and inspiring book of hope, courage and joy told by everyday people going though extraordinary events. With so much going on in the world, what better gift could be given to anyone you know and love than to give them something so powerful as these people's life-changing stories and the undeniable presence of God, here and now.

This lovely book will no doubt find its way under many Christmas trees this year. My favorite story, of course, is "It Was the Mailman Delivering a Surprise Package" because I lived through that experience and was the recipient of one of those gifts. Pat Groff was--and to this day still is--the best friend I ever had, and it is wonderful to see just a small snippet of how special she was in print. The many inspirational stories are an affirmation of God's love and care. You will love this book. Get one for yourself and another or several others to give.

The remarkable thing about this collection of the transformational experiences of ordinary people from all walks of life isn't that they are unique but that they are part of the human experience back to ancient times, recounted through many cultures and religious traditions around the world. Many may be pre disposed to view these accounts with disbelief or even mockery, which is why most are being shared for the first time in this book. Many more, I think, will actually recall similar experiences in their own lives and perhaps have a heightened awareness of this mysterious and reassuring reality in each of our lives.

I thought this book was a great book that expanded my faith in so many ways. It made me think of God in a different light, rather than my narrow thinking of He could only be how I protrayed Him to be. It seems like He's exactly what people needed in their lives at just the right moments. It's beautiful how this collection wasn't biast in any way, but beautifully open and affirmed God's loving nature.

I would recommend buying it, b/c you'll want to read it more than once. :)

In today's media space - aka pop culture - negativity permeates every outlet. News inundates our minds with horror, violence, dismay, and FEAR. Reality programs focus on empty relationships, money, betrayal. Mainstream music offers most of the same. Nowhere - well, at least nowhere in the massive assault on our beings that we all endure everyday from media, advertising, and entertainment - do we see God....or Spirituality..... or just plain "Good."

Here is a book focused on Good. Focused on God. Focused on the people who have stories to tell - stories that are unrelenting and undeniably miraculous - about mind bending life events wherein God's actions are blatantly clear.

Here is a book that makes you feel Good, that reinforces faith - or simply ignites faith for the first time. Here is a book for everyone, regardless of religious background. Here is a book worthy of sharing, a book I'm thankful to have read.

Turn off the news, and read this book.

Hearing the voice of God, no matter what type of higher being your follow, can be difficult for people to comprehend. This collection of true stories is not only well written, but impresses upon the reader that miracles really do happen...that there is a higher power in the world and within us. There are so many stories in this book that gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. It really is an amazing collection of truth's and divine intervention. No matter what faith you follow, these stories will speak to you! Thanks!

I picked this book for my Book Club and everyone truly enjoyed it. Great Book - beautifully written.
