Robert R. Perkinson is the clinical director of Keystone Treatment Center in Canton, SD. He is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, South Dakota Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor, Level III, Nationally Certified Gambling Counselor and Supervisor. His specialty areas focus on treating alcoholics, addicts, and pathological gamblers. He is the author of Chemical Dependency Counseling: A Practical Guide, Fourth Edition, 2012, by Sage Publications which is the leading treatment manual in the world for chemical dependency counselors. With Dr. Arthur E. Jongsma, Jr. he is the coauthor of The Addiction Treatment Planner, Fourth Edition 2009, by John Wiley and Sons, the best selling treatment planner and computer software program for mental health and addiction professionals. He has published The Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Client Workbook, Second Edition, 2012 and the Gambling Addiction Client Workbook, Second Edition, 2012 by Sage Publications. These workbooks have all of the exercises patients need to enter a stable recovery. He has a new book by John Wiley and Son's titled Treating Alcoholism: How to Help Your Clients Enter Recovery 2004 that trains new professionals how to treat patients with alcohol problems. He is the author of the book God Talks to You by First Books, and the meditation tape, A Communication from God by cdbaby, which help addicts make their first conscious contact with God. He is a composer and has completed his second CD, Peace Will Come, music that helps addicts learn the essentials of a spiritual journey. With Dr. Jean LaCour he wrote the Faith-Based Addiction Curriculum, 2004 to teach professionals of faith how to treat addiction. Dr. Perkinson is an international motivational speaker and regular contributor to numerous professional journals. If you feel lost in this world and wonder why you are living, wonder no longer. God has a wonderful plan for you and you will find out exactly what it is by reading this book. The text teaches you how to talk to God, and more importantly, how to listen for God to talk to you. Yes, you will actually hear the voice of God. Inside of your thinking, there is a tender thought process that will show you the way to happiness beyond your wildest dreams. It really happens, but you have to read the book and do what it says like I did. I pray you will do this. God lead me to a peace I never experienced before. Reading this book, you will feel good about yourself again.

God Almighty does speak to you using the exercises in this book. You will never believe it until you try it yourself, but it really does happen. I have doubted God all my life, but now I know God loves me. God is my closest friend. By reading the book you learn exactly how to hear God's voice. God you everything you need to know and then he shows you what to do. God has a plan for me. A wonderful journey that I am walking. I am happy for the first time in my life. Praise God for this book!
