4.0 out of 5 stars Literate and Enlightening, September 2, 2001

This review is from: God in Three Persons: Biblical Testimony to the Trinity (Paperback)
God in Three Persons: Biblical Testimony to the Trinity is a literate and enlightening book. Allen Vander Pol certainly knows his subject well, and writes with a deep simplicity, which makes this work a joy to read. He is well-versed in what certainly is a much debated and complicated concept; especially when it comes to Christ's relationship with God, The Father and The Holy Spirit. The concept of The Trinity has to be one of the most fundamental and important themes in Christianity, as it delves into the very nature of God Himself-and Mr. Vander Pol certainly sees it clearly.

This review is from: God in Three Persons: Biblical Testimony to the Trinity (Paperback)
This book is an excellent resource for anyone desiring to know what the classical, historic doctrine of the Trinity teaches. The book is not a polemic against error but rather a clear and concise expounding of the Trinity doctrine.

This book would be very helpful for anyone who was recently saved and needed a good foundational teaching on the Trinity. Often times new converts are never taught the important facet of this doctrine and it causes confusion later, especially if they are approached by the Jehovah's Witnesses, Unitarians, Mormons or Oneness Pentecostals. This book will help lay the Biblical foundation in the mind of the reader before the Trinity is misrepresented by other groups or pop culture "Christianity" a la "The Shack" which promotes modalism.
