Mind-blowing and a great read, February 11, 2007
This review is from: God, Time, and Eternity: The Coherence of Theism II: Eternity (v. 2) (Hardcover)
I thought this was going to be a real grind, but it turned out to be incredibly fun and interesting. The topics covered are abstruse, but the way Craig writes, one can follow it relatively easily, and in some places effortlessly. His ideas about time and eternity are fascinating, but the material that really blew my mind was what he wrote on special and general relativity and quantum mechanics. He showed how Einstein's idea that there is no privileged frame of reference has been debunked by several theories and experiments in 20th century physics. I had heard of all the theories and experiments before but had never put them together in such a startling way. I am still reeling - my conception of the universe has been shattered. This is really great stuff. One of the best books I've ever read! I will have to read all Craig's books (I've read one other before, his debate with a Jesus Seminar scholar in which he also shines - and I say this as someone who's far more liberal in his religion than Craig is).
