4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff, January 21, 2007

This review is from: In God We Kill (Audio CD)
This definitely has more melodic untertones than their older stuff. The heavier songs are the best, and the more melodic sounding ones have a touch of the Swingin' Utters, like 'What You Gonna Do" and "Running With The Youth", one of the best songs I have ever heard, about the good old days. One song that might throw off the punk 'purists' is the song 'Immaculate' because it has some slow drum machine beats, but don't get me wrong, it works! The rest of the song is hardcore sounding with the beats throughout, much better than the same effect on the song 'W' off of The Damned's 'Grave Disorder' cd(which I also like.)Plenty of good old fashioned punk metal, with a modern twist, and with a few melodic punk songs thrown in. This is a great mix of energetic music, riotous lyrics, and lets not forget the great guitar solos. If you don't like guitar solos in punk songs then this is not the cd for you, for me it adds so much more to the music. Another song that has a little bit of a different vibe is "Electric Lady" which has some rap vocals at the end of it though it does fit the song. "Love Song" is the only song I don't enjoy as much as the rest, and it isn't the lyrics because they are great. I guess the song is the only one that isn't as creative as all the others. Last but not least the ending song is a cover of The Exploited's "I Believe In Anarchy", so good! I recommend this cd to anyone who likes Total Chaos and who doesn't mind a few new things(1 song with drum machine, 1 with rap vocals), an openminded person like me then you will like this.
"What you gonna do/when you ain't got nothing and your bridges are burned/what you gonna do/when you hurt everyone and your life is done"
