Book Description

March 2002
The vast majority of Americans pray, but how many recognize when God has answered? In the bustle of daily life, it's easy to overlook the quiet nudges, the subtle answers and the little ways in which the Creator responds.

GOD WHISPERS isn't as much about how to pray as it is about how to listen. Author Margaret Feinberg challenges readers to live with a tender heart as well as open eyes and ears to the countless ways in which God speaks.

"God is big. He could use anything to communicate with His people," Feinberg writes. "He could fill the sky with messages that beam in the atmosphere for hours. He could paint His words in nature using tree bark, blooming flowers or freshly fallen snow. In modern times, He could send an email, call someone's cell or leave a voice mail message."

"But He doesn't. He takes a much more subtle approach. Instead of shouting, He whispers."

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Relevant Books celebrates the release of God Whispers: Learning To Hear His Voice by Margaret Feinberg. A follow up to Enjoying God, co-authored by Feinberg, God Whispers sheds new light on ways we can connect with God on a daily basis.

We have questions. God has answers. We just don't always hear them. The process of praying and waiting for an answer is undoubtedly one of the most challenging aspects of the Christian faith. Most of us worry, fret and live in a cloud of confusion daily because we don't have an answer to our problems. But God answers all prayer. Sometimes, we just don't recognize the response.

5.0 out of 5 stars Personal and Challenging, October 18, 2002
This review is from: God Whispers: Learning to Hear His Voice (Paperback)
God Whispers rattles the cage of mediocre Christian spirituality by forcing us to run head on into that one truth we Christians find so hard to believe--God still speaks to his children. In an intimate yet practical way, Margaret shares real-world examples of how God speaks to us today, and challenges us to take the risk to listen and follow His whispers in our daily lives. God Whispers is a solid, biblical exploration of a subject desperately close to our souls.

--Michael D. Warden, author of "Alone With God: Biblical Inspiration for the Unmarried"

This book clearly explains how easy it is to hear God and how He is constantly speaking to us...in so many ways that we so easily overlook. It is amazing to see how close...really close..God is to us and how simple it can be to hear His voice. He made it simple enough that a child can hear Him. Buy this book..you won't regret it!
