I ordered this CD just prior to finding out that I may have cancer. I cannot describe the sense of wellbeing and comfort this CD has given me. The beautiful lyrics are uplifting and easy to sing too. The beauty of the music fills my soul with joy. How can I dwell in negative thoughts while I am "wraped in a mothers gift of love"? This is a lovely CD and I highly recommend it and look forward to any new releases Shawna Carol may have planned.

Each song on this album is really a complete musical experience. The words to the chants/songs are simple and circular, but they are profound. The instrumentation is absolutely powerful, each piece of music designed to perfectly augment the chant or song. Some songs are quiet and meditative. Others fill your house with full, grand music. The high production value makes the sound quality worthy of even the best stereo systems.

This lovely album is Goddess-centered and She is mentioned often, but as a whole, the album is more focused on thought and sound than on any particular deity.

I borrowed this cd from a friend, and it defiantly makes good ritual back ground music, and I too catch myself singing it! Perfect music to have on around the house to make housework more spiritual! LOL

Goddess Chant is a wonderful CD that was definately inspired by the Great Goddess and her Muses. The music and lyrics are easy to follow and understand and weave a beautiful tapestry of music for the soul.

It took two or three times listening to it for me to formulate an opinion, but after catching myself humming and singing while working or excersizing, and can easy say that I recommend this album.

Highly recommended without reservation!

Great CD for those who want music that inspires the goddess in us. My eight year old daughter has heard this CD as back gorund music and now she is singing it around the house.

The songs are simple enough to sing along with and you WILL be very soon. The music is gorgeous and the voices outstanding. Shawna is a gifted songwriter and these songs will be sung over and over again in many places.

Shawna has created a beautiful blend of women's voices with Goddess music never before recorded. Sscred Pleasure, the title song, brings goosebumps to the skin! Her wonderful Blessed Be is inspiring and echoes brilliantly though your mind. When You Look In Your Sister's Eyes, Praise Her - says it all. Truly beautiful and highly recommended.

Shawna's voice and lyrics are hauntingly beautiful and stir your spirit. I use this CD any time that I need to be feel connected and inspired. I find myself singing every time I hear it. Shawna has created something very sacred and melodic. Her Mystic Soul CD is the promise of something great. This CD is the fullfillment of something great. I expect this artist to continue to do great things.

I agree with the reviewer who said that at first the CD seemed so-so. The magic of this CD is that you can listen to it repeatedly, as you do your appreciation of it will deepen. Though the topic of the lyrics is relatively narrow the renditions and style are not, making this a richly varied CD. Now, if only Amazon.com would allow 6 stars, because Goddess Chant deserves it!

This is a truly beautiful CD. More appropriate for a woman; the songs are dedications to mothers and every day Goddesses. This is the first chanting CD I ever bought, and it's remained my favorite, though Deva Premal's CD's are a close second. The words are in English which makes it easier to sing along and understand. I play this CD in my all-women yoga classes and they love it. Sit back, close your eyes, breath and relax....
