1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly written book
This book is so poorly written that the manuscript would not have passed a fifth grade English class? Where were the editors? I think the publishers were so cheap that the author's musings were simply transcribed directly. The contents were not at all funny either. This book is an insult to those who would buy it. I can name many authors who write well and have funny...

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a quilter and I loved this book!, July 18, 2009

This review is from: Goddess of the Last Minute: Laughter and Lessons from an Uncommon Quilter (Hardcover)
I picked this book up in a quilt shop one day, (even though I wasn't planning on buying a book) because the title caught my eye as did the cover and I was thrilled with her writing...she is hilarious and just oh so true when it comes to quilters in general. She was so good in this book that when I saw she had another book here on Amazon "Free Expression: The Art and Confessions of a Contemporary Quilter (Paperback)" I ordered it, because I wanted to hear more from her and see what her work is that she does and teaches that she talks about in her first book and learn as well!

You won't be let down -- she is a "stitch" LOL!!!!

I loved this book. I thought it would be boring, a book on quilting. But it was far from boring. Very entertaining. Excellent writer...and it's all true.

I loved this book. She talks to me the procrastinating quilter and lists all the same questions, laughs, problems, and setbacks that I have suffered and she does it with such humor. I don't feel guilty any more thanks to reading this book.

Robbi Joy Eklow is a hoot! As a quilter I could definitely relate to many of her situations and issues ... she can make you see the brighter and funny side of these catastrophes through her own experiences. It made me laugh out loud often; a thoroughly enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Like My Sister, July 29, 2010
This review is from: Goddess of the Last Minute: Laughter and Lessons from an Uncommon Quilter (Hardcover)
This book could have been written about my sister...but it wasn't. I bought it as a gift for her, and, of course, I had to read it before I gave it to her. Joyful and fun.
