This book is a great little quick reference guide. While I am not an experianced "witch" I am interested in magic and believe it works. This book would be a great gift for someone who is interested in magic but doesn't know where to start. The simple spells are user-friendly and fun. Plus, because the author uses everyday things in her spells, you don't have to run all over trying to find unusual ingredients!

This is one of those great little books that seem to "find" you at the right time, it did me, anyway! For such a small book it packs a lot of useful ideas, mini-spells, inspiration and general ways to carry magic (although I prefer 'magick') and the Goddess in your heart and soul with you wherever you go and whatever you do, simply. Sometimes it's hard to incorporate a little magick into our everyday lives, and for me, working in the corporate world, I end up leaving my spirituality at the door between 8 and 5. This little gem gives ideas and ways to avoid doing just that, but simply and discreetly (if you don't burn rosemary incense at work as suggested, unless your work at home, that is!) This book starts with a chapter called "Carrying the Magic" and ends with "Magic in Your Pocket" with sections relating to everyday life in between, such as the home, office, relationships, traveling, etc. I flipped open the book right to the "Magic in the Office" section and was sold right there. Of course, not all of these "mini-spells" and suggestions can be useable for everyone, depending on your own individual needs or situation, but use what you want and as with all magic(k), it is a very personal and individual choice; do what feels right for you.

I plan on buying many more of these books to give as gifts to friends and family who need or want a little bit of magic(k) in their lives!

Did you read the same book I did? It's WONDERFUL! The humor keeps everything in balance, and there's nothing hocus pocus here -- just some fresh, fun spells that use everyday items (no eye of newt, and no political wiccan broo-ha-ha).

This book helped me learn the basics of magic. It can help anyone who is interested in magic. This book can help you for everyday life.

I wasn't sure if this book was for "me" but I discovered (somewhat to my surprize) that a goddess book is fun for men too. The spells here don't put me off and Ms. Telesco never gives me the feeling that this book is only directed toward women. For any man who wants to rediscover the goddess, it's very consumable.

This book has tons of spells. it can help you on the road,or even in the office. It has cute little charms for your house. It is a fantastic book to read.

I liked this book. It has simple, easy spells for everyday troubles.

And they work. I'd recommend this book only for one spell in it: "Finding a parking space". It has worked every time I've casted from my driver's seat.

Maybe it's not a book of high Wiccan principles, guiding you to connect with the Universe and reach a higher state. This is a book for the every day issues you need to overcome to keep your mind at ease. A book for the everyday Pagan and the kitchen witch who seek simple ways to overcome simple, yet tantalising, problems.

I thought it was well worth its money.

This is most definitely not one of Patricia Telesco's better books. It is rather childish and makes the Craft look silly. The problem with books like this one is they make light of the Old Ways, provide incomplete information on the true application of magick, and fail to enlighten the reader in any way. Ms. Telesco is a very talented and prolific author and her readers have come to expect quality writing from her, which is all the more reason to be disappointed with this Disney-mentality spellbook.

This playful little book is wonderfully light-hearted yet filled with "good magic" -- there's nothing in here that sounds odd (no newts and wierd words), and there's a lot of HUMOR, which I personally enjoyed the most. In a world where we often take ourselves too seriously this book is a breath of fresh air, yet it never looses respect for magic or for the reader's personal vision.

Give it as a gift, and buy one for yourself!

Wonderful spells and chants! The spells use things that are easy access. This is an interesting book to read and I would recommend it to anyone.
