This was my first Troika cd so other than listening to snips on Amazon I didn't know what to expect - just knew that the snips sounded great. As it turns out the whole cd is great. It reminds me a lot of Kitaro in terms of both sound and rhythms. There are no vocals - its all instrumental. The songs are very well done, each is different, interpreted I think to the goddess after which it was named - one may have more piano type sounds, another some chimes, another harp, another drumming. Personnaly, I wouldn't be able to listen to one and say - oh that one definitely embodies Athena, or this one definitely says Kuan Yin - but the idea is great and the songs are all really well done.

Goddess is one of the best meditative new age albums that I have. The reason I am calling this meditative, is because each song represents a different Goddess, and you can clearly hear that through the songs. So when you are meditating, you can focus your meditation on a specific Goddess if you'd like.

Goddess is new age music at it's best. I used it as background music to give a massage to one of my clients, a spunky 65 year old lady. She absolutely loved it and commented that the music "takes you to other places"... a realm of enchanted feminine magic most certainly. It was perfect for massage: never overbearing or too fast and yet never boring.

I was injured in an auto accident, and my doctor prescribed massage therapy. The music in the background was soooo great, I asked what it was. It was Troika's Goddess. One listen convinced me I had to have it. ..it is great to get a massage to, I admit, but even greater to own just to relax or meditate or read or just go about your business. This is the first CD of its kind I own, and I will get more! What a wonderful way to be introduced to a whole new realm of music out there!

"Goddess" is something more than the usual fare. Nothing else that Troika has done comes close to this truly inspired work. It is as if the music is a language designed to remind us of all we have forgotten,all that is worth remembering. I listened to this in wonder, and found myself transported to states of laughter, of forgiveness, of hope and joy. In this music, I found forgotten beauty, softness, tenderness.Definitely not just your average New Age fare. For meditation, for exploration, for remembering, for sheer pleasure,"Goddess" will not disappoint you. I highly recommend spending some time with this one. If enlightenment through music is appealing,close your eyes and listen. This will carry you far in that direction. And if it's just pleasure you're after, this will fit that bill as well. You can't lose with this one.

I found this CD to be one of the best New Age sounds I have ever heard. The music is relaxing and useful in meditation. This is my first CD by Troika but because of it I am buying the rest of them.

Sometimes it's hard to stay awake through the entire CD, but if you can, you will hear an hour of beautiful music. The artists do not give their names because they feel that the music is much more important than fame. Perhaps if more artists focused on their music rather than on themselves, we would have a much better selection of music. Troika took the time to include a short history of each Goddess honored in the album which makes the rich melodies more real, more personal, as if they are speaking to you without words.

Goddess is a great CD full of mystery and magic. It relaxes and shows off the strength believed to be in every goddess. Learn about each goddess that each song relates to, while admiring the sweet musical notes. A great buy for anyone.

It is the best meditation album I've ever heard. I have played it more than 100 times and I find something new behind the music every time. With this music you can sit down, relax, and find yourself in the place of your dreams, hearing the marvelous wisdom that comes from the voice of the Goddess.

My daughter picked this CD last year when it came out. Now we argue over who get's it. Each song fits the Goddess it tributes. Mt favorite is Quan Yin...such peace and warmth. This CD will, if anything, help the worst insomniac get to sleep...ANYTIME. Peace.
