As muses and daughters of Zeus, Era, Polly, and Thalia live a cushy, spoiled life on Mt. Olympus. The girls are teenagers in human years, and certainly act like it. Thalia is desperate to avoid an arranged marriage, because even though she likes the guy, she's not ready to give up her freedom. She persuades Era and Polly to help her, but their plan goes awry, and their evil stepmother forces Zeus to banish the girls to Earth. But Zeus messes up, and instead of ending up in ancient Greece, they find themselves sent far into the future, to Athens, Georgia, in the year 2002. Without their powers to help them, how will they survive living on their own, without servants, and more importantly, how will they survive the terror known as high school? I highly recommend this light, fluffy and very funny fantasy to readers who'd love a good laugh.

Do you believe in gods and goddesses? If you think mythology is boring this brings a whole new meaning! Zeus banned his three daughters to earth in Athens but he accidently sent them to Athens, Georgia in 2001! How will the girls know about energy and life as it is now? Just follow these girls in a hiliarious adventure! It's laugh out loud funny!

I love it! Everything was funny about it! Goddesses trying to fit in with the world today! It's an excellent book that you'd just want to read the sequel!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Goddesses #1: Heaven Sent (Paperback)
This book is about 3 sisters who were banned from Heaven and sent to Georgia in 2002. They have to learn about fashion, boys, school, and surving. They have never seen a TV before and one sister has to sleep in the bath tub ...
If you like adventures with teens in them this is a great book for you. It has adventures, embarresement, popularity problems etc. I didn't think I would like it. Then I started reading it. It was really good and hard to put down.

Try it, you'll like it!

I've never read a book more inventive. The three muses (especially Thalia) really act like teenagers of today! Awesome and full of fun. It was a little to short, but leaves you in suspense at the end (which is nice) My favorte character is Thalia. She really goes with Apollo and deep down she really likes him! Cute, smart and sexy, their struggle to fit in the mortal world is charming and delightful to read, especially since their worst enemies, the Furies, try as hard as they can to make them quit. Read to find out more!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a good book!, July 3, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Goddesses #1: Heaven Sent (Paperback)
I love this book. I'd really recomend it to someone else my age, especially if they're into adventure stories. When the story begins, Thalia, the main character is in trouble. She had to pretend to catch a sickness in order to avoid marrying her best friend, Apollo. All her life, she had never known that he had had feelings for her, and when her father told her the news, she was shocked. She could not bring herself to marry him, as she had no feelings for him, so with the help of her sisters, Polly and Era, Thalia pretended to become sick at her engagement party. And so the story begins with her father, Zeus, and icky stepmom, Hera, having to punish them by banishing them to Athens, Greece, in the year 423 b.c. Unfortunately, Zeus makes a mistake and sends them to Athens-Georgia, that is. In the year 2002. They must not let anyone find out that they're goddesses, or else Hera will send them to Hades forever! Okay, sound interesting yet? Well, read the book and find out what happens next!
