Crystal is one of the things I enjoy.I lived in Europe most of my life and have seen a lot of fine crystal from all over the world.I got excited when I saw this cute decanter on Amazon's website (for the note: I couldn't find on the web where this item was made). This is NOT an inexpensive decanter it is why I was expecting very good quality, instead, I got huge disappointment.
There are a number of problems:
-Decanter looks to be made of awfully cheap glass,
-So-called "crystal" had so many air bubbles that I gave up counting
-Made in China
-Replacement item is even worse quality.
I returned both boxes and will never buy Godinger product again.
But at least I was pleased with Amazon's customer service.

It's large, heavy, beautiful carvings... It's not fine crystal, but it looks better then glass for sure. I got it for our liquor cabinet, it fits perfectly in there. It arrived well packed so there was no damage at all. For the price, it's well worth it, I might get another one soon.

Just one note - fill it with white vinegar and water during the night, that will wash off the excess lead of it. It looks better after and it's shinier.

I bought 3 of these for gifts a couple of months ago. The prices were significantly lower than retail and they were in perfect condition. The only thing I didn't like much was the packaging. They appeared a little cheap! The decanter itself was beautiful!
