4.0 out of 5 stars Yum!
This is one yummy coffee. I have to say that I like flavored coffee, having tried Hazelnut and French Vanilla of the Senseo brand before.
No, it doesn't remind me of creme brulee per se, but it has some sweetness (I drink my coffee without sugar/sweetener), a caramel-y note.
If you like Hazelnut coffee, try this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dissappointing Taste
I was excited to try this new flavor made for Senseo machines. I love Senseo's Paris and Vienna flavors, so thought this would be good. My husband and I find the taste to be artificial. It doesn't remind us of Creme Brulee. The aftertaste is somewhat bitter. I'm using these up, adding lots of fat-free half and half to cover the taste, but I won't repurchase. In my...

In my opinion, Douwe Egberts makes flavored coffees with more appealing taste.

It's pretty strong, so two pods make a big mug, which I like a lot. Since it's the Senseo brand, my machine will take both pods without making a mess...if you tried generic pods, you know what I mean.
They are pretty pricey though, that's why I can't give them 5 stars...

2.0 out of 5 stars Blech...., February 21, 2009

Godiva Creme Brule~~sounds great, but yuck, the pods were pretty unpleasant. As a previous reviewer stated, lots of vanilla coffee mate had to be added to make the coffee remotely palpable. The flavor was very artifical and quite weak. It reminded me of Millstone vanilla coffee (which is not a good thing). I'll go back to the tried and true...senseo medium or dark roast. Great flavor, no weird after taste.

These coffee pods might make delicious coffee, but they are too small for the Senseo coffee maker. They hold less coffee than Senseo's own pods therefore the coffee comes out watery. I was very disappointed since i enjoy flavored coffees as a rule.

This is better than the Chocolate Creme but not by much. This is way way overpriced and weak if prepared by directions. I found it brewed better in the espresso pod holder, but then I have to use 3-4 pods to make a cup.

The smell was the best part. Unfortunately the coffee was very weak with a chemical taste. I'll stick with the Dark Roast

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice flavor, scent, and price, December 31, 2008
This review is from: Godiva Creme Brulee Single-Serve Coffee Pods, 16 Count, 3.66 Ounce Bags (Pack of 3) (Grocery)
Godiva quality is usually hit and miss for us, so I was surprised when these actually met my expectations. The creme brulee flavor flavor came through very nicely and I didn't detect any bitterness.

Then, when I made my second cup later in the day, that pod produced a bitter taste which I was able to mitigate with a little cream and sugar.

I don't understand why there is a disparity in quality, but since my primary reason for purchase was to have these on hand for guests they'll suffice, and based upon the first cup I had I would buy these again and hope for the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Warm Hug!! But Really? One Star??, August 31, 2010
This review is from: Godiva Creme Brulee Single-Serve Coffee Pods, 16 Count, 3.66 Ounce Bags (Pack of 3) (Grocery)
I can't wait until I make my morning Creme Brulee! I'm not sure if those that are talking about the "fake taste or that the smell is so strong it has to be in a container" people are comparing it to coffee they had in an authentic coffee house in France(??) but if you DO enjoy a warm hug and a creamy wonderful cup of goodness try this coffee. I admit, you do need to be one of those people who enjoy "flavored" coffee because it definitely is just that. I will say my mom does not like the "foofie" coffee, as she calls it, AND she likes her coffee pretty weak and when I made her a cup (with two pods ***after*** I ran my full strength cup)I didn't think she would go for it, but she LOVED it. She said the smell alone was delightful and it tasted even better. (she adds a little cream & sugar) It does fill the whole kitchen with this rich caramel smell, but really, is that such a crime as to deserve a one star review?? Oh man, even my husband who doesn't drink coffee says how wonderful it smells when he comes up in the morning! I put a little Hill Bros English Toffee creamer in it myself-sometimes a dash of cinnamon-and whoa-awesome! (I can't make the high pitched voice that's needed to make it clear just how awesome it is but I'll let you use your imagination!!) Way cheaper than Starbucks, and ready while I get my kids off to school. I know I'm not getting all scientific and educational in my review, but if you want to know the point of view of a mom who really cherishes her first cup of Joe in the morning than this is it. Hope you like it if you try it...maybe buy just one bag from a store before you buy 3 bags, other than that enjoy!
