I bought this for my children (8 yrs. and 10 yrs.) to augment our family devotions, and teach them how to independently analyze God's Word. The children have greatly enjoyed doing this study...they enjoy working on it every day. This study offers a unique methodology of studying the Bible for your children. The inductive method shows them how to analyze God's Word for themselves (applicable for all types of literary analysis) so that they are better equipped to effectively study His Word. The overall theme is an archeological dig, and has a fun, engaging style that is great for children. It begins by having the children establish an overall picture/summarization of each of the chapters, and then walks them through each chapter individually, to teach and guide them through more in-depth analysis. There are a variety of puzzles and challenges that integrate fun into the study, and yet the children gain a firm foundation of how to study God's Word by understanding the Who, What, When, Where, How, Why questions. It also encourages verse memorization through the process. This study curriculum has been worthwhile in many ways, and I plan to purchase/use the studies for the rest of Genesis. It could also be used for a Sunday School or organized Bible study for children.

LOVE these Bible study series. We have purchased several of them for my child's independent study time. The authors do a good job of making the study fun and teaching the kids to dig into God's word. Sometimes the words used are a bit mature beyond the average student's knowledge but this can be a great time to ask a parent or teacher for help. I'm VERY happy with these studies and have enjoyed watching my child learn to study God's word. I highly recommend them!

This series is a great way to introduce children to the Inductive method of studying the bible. Children can do them on their own, but adults can learn right along with them. Fun "detective" themes to teach children to dig deep and get true meanings from scripture itself.
