NORE himself admits that his Melvyn Flynt album wasn't as hot as he hoped it would be, cuz he couldn't put his heart into it due to the loss of his father. But you wont be hearing him say that "God's Favorite" aint a tight album cuz believe me it is straight heat. this is the first N.O.R.E. album i have ever bought so im new to his style. the track 'nothin' is the reason i picked this up, im a fan of just about anything the neptunes put out. Sayin that i think the only great tracks on this cd are the ones produced by the neptunes. 'nothin', 'grimey', and 'headbussa' are my top three tracks. the other 2 neptunes tracks are ok as...

But you wont be hearing him say that "God's Favorite" aint a tight album cuz believe me it is straight heat. What made Noreaga's debut album so groundbreaking and original was the seamless connection between Noreaga's flow and the production by then newcomers The Neptunes and Swizz Beatz. Remember "Super Thug" and "Banned From TV"...classics. Since then everyone has jumped on the Neptunes and Swizz bandwagon. And wit a new name NORE follows the same formula from his debut and once again comes out with another hot album. By now we all know "Nuthin" is bumpin hard in all the clubs, just like Noreaga and The Neptunes did it back with "Superthug". And just when you thought Ja Rule couldn't crank out another hit he does it again with "Live My Life." Also check tracks like "Grimey," "Nahmeanuheard remix" "Consider This" and "Wanna be like Him." NORE is bringin da hotness new name and all. Mad props to the artist formerly known as Noreaga. Peace.

None of them flowed well. overall i think you would do better gettin those three tracks off the net, save your [money] and forget about the rest of the album.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Decent Effort..., June 25, 2002

I picked this up the day it came out, June 25th, and I was expecting something better. "Nothin'" is by FAR the best song..."Live My Life" with Ja Rule and "Love Ya Moms" rank 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Other than that, it doesn't hit me like N.O.R.E. and Melvin Flynt did..besides, except for "Full Mode", "Nothin'" and the "Nahmeanuheard" Remix, these tracks were all done very early this year, which is when I managed to find the bootleg first version. The inclusion of a Capone bonus track puzzles me as well; it seems like a marketing ploy more than anything else, especially since Nore's not even on it. If you're a diehard fan, pick it up. A casual fan would be better off without it. Spend your money on Cormega's new cd, "The True Meaning", instead.

1.0 out of 5 stars Grimey?????, July 13, 2002
This review is from: God's Favorite (Audio CD)
Noreaga used to be an ill grimy MC with albums such as "the War Report"(classic) and his first solo Lp. Noreaga always talks about how grimey he is, but all he does on this record is rap over jiggy Neptune beats in an attempt to make club songs. Doing cheesey songs with R&B singers and Ja Rule is about as un-grimy and commercial as it gets. Noreaga is a SELL-OUT. Save your money and buy CNN's War report, because this album is terrible.

5.0 out of 5 stars The future, June 15, 2003

Track 19 explains the whole album cause everyone is waiting for Capone album. This is the future of hiphop, the future of nonstop theft and bootlegging.

4.0 out of 5 stars Weak Production, July 5, 2002
This review is from: God's Favorite (Audio CD)
I am a big CNN fan so I picked this up as soon as it came out, but the production just doesn't help Noreaga out. Personally, I think Capone is the better MC of the two, but Nore is a good MC. But, he doesn't get very good production on several of the songs despite the fact that big names like The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz, Kyze, Irv Gotti, SPK, and LES do the production. There are still several good tracks, like Grimey, Nahmeanuheard, Mr Ceo, Love Ya Moms, Head Bussa, Banned from Another Club, and Nahmeanuheard Remix. The Life of A.. is a good song, but is just Capone. Live My Life and Black Clouds are both songs that grew on me-I didn't like them at first, but after a couple listens they are better. Capone makes the best guest spots, but Dwnlzy, Musaliny, Maze, Gold, Troy Outlaw, Ja Rule, Final Chapter, Cam'ron, Fat Joe, Complexions, and Cassidy all have good moments. Overall, it is better than Melvin Flynt, but still a cut below N.O.R.E. and well below the two CNN albums.

Nore god favorite

I thought this ablum was rushed and he did not take his time on the ablum so it didn come out be like that good. But the production is alsome u got the neptunes Swizz gotti on the ablum so the beat are not wack that fo sho.

the best song on the album is nahmeanyaheard and the remix
nonthing, grimey, head bussa, the ceo, full mode,

the end of ablum is pretty bad

I give it 3 stars for like 6 decent songs and the production

NOre take more time for your ablums Please.

I suggest this to any rap fan

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than Melvin Flynt, June 27, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: God's Favorite (Audio CD)
This album was worth the wait, I remember hearing for months "God's favorite on the way" back in December, than in February, finally March, still no signs of it, after hearing June 25 off Nore's website, I ran out that day and copped it. God's favorite is more consistent than His last solo record Melvin Flint. There are a few throwaway tracks sprinkled in, but overall a pretty solid effort, I've played it in my car deck 6 times so far.
