As a mother of two girls younger than 10 years old, I have already had to answer questions to them regarding vampires, werewolves and other creatures of darkness as they attend public school and are being told by thier friends that these creatures are powerful, sexy, and basically the defacto dream come true for romantic hero figures in our lives. Sadly I cannot afford to quit work and homeschool my children, so I must be able to provide solid biblical insight into this new occultic craze that seems to be taking the attention of our youth away from wholesome christian family world view concepts and replacing them with the fascination of dark spirits and damned beings. This book has helped me enormously make an informed argument to my kids in terms they understand about the dangers of tampering with witchcraft, spells, spirits, ghosts, vampires etc. Very interesting read, could'nt put it down. PS. Why are'nt more christians writing and talking about what is probably the most relevant spiritual threat facing our kids today? Need help! Get this book.

This book gives answers to the questions many Christians may have about vampires, ghosts, aliens, werewolves and creatures of the night. These subjects are examined from a biblical standpoint. It helps the reader to understand that there are forces at work in the world that are just beyond our ability to comprehend and at times to understand. We are engaged in the war of light verses darkness. The book also makes you wonder about things that go "bump in the night".

I purchased this book for my husband and he has not been able to put it down. I can't wait to read it when he's done! We enjoy reading and watching documentaries about the supernatural, so we were so excited to find a book written by Christian authors that dedicates a whole chapter to a biblical explanation/perspective on each subject.

A very informative eye opener for parents and others who are interested in an evaluation of current happenings in our culture from a Christian perspective. The book is a compilation of essays from various authors on spiritual/occult issues facing our society today. I found the book really awakens your spirit(no pun intended) and makes one think that we are not alone and daily find ourselves in an unseen battle for both our souls and the souls of those we love. Covers not only issues that some shy away from or are ignorant of in the church such as the UFO misinformation(perhaps they are demonic spirits and not little green men) and seeks to explain it/them from a Christian perspective, but also attempts to explain who or what ghosts really are and if people are really contacting the spirits of the dead. If I were a parent this would be a must have and must read for my home library.

With the title "God's Ghostbusters," I thought this was going to be a book about exorcists. It wasn't. I didn't dislike the book....it covered many topics I enjoy listening to on Coast to Coast. It was interesting to know the cultural history and evolution of the current fads of vampirism, space alien "abductions," etc., but I really wanted to be reading about exorcists.

What I noticed, and it annoyed me slightly, were the typos and even malapropisms sprinkled throughout. (mostly typos) The book would have profited from a good proof reader or text editor.

That picky objection aside, I have to be fair and say that I generally enjoyed the book. The various ookie topics covered were quite interesting. It wasn't a bad read.

God's Ghostbusters is a must have for all parents and bible believers. This book includes dozens of shocking accounts as to how the occult is being normalized for today's young people through popular media, movies, books etc. It documents how religions like Wicca are growing so fast the demand for it by young people is out pacing the number of teachers there are to teach it. At the same time our teenagers especially are falling in love with damned creatures of the night, and unknowingly mimicking in thier real life occultish behavior portrayed in thier favorite stories and films. This book reveals a ton of information regarding this spiritual crisis, and will arm you with scriptures that will enlighten you and your children as to how to stand firm in christ. Total "can't put it down" read and an A+ all the way!

I am thankful to Tom Horn and his wife Nita for taking an honest and courageous look at the uglyness of what vampirism is and is not. Many authors contributed to this project and each one came from a little different view point but all agreed that this latest pull towards a new kind of debauchery in film and television and books is not going to lift society but only cause it to go down. It is happening before our eyes and the only answer to freeing these individuals from the chains of this sinful life-choice is Jesus Christ.

Not what I expected. Too wordy and insufficient information. Not interested in TV programs, movies, etc. I know satan is building his kingdom over the years slowly. I believe this book should have stayed on the subject and what a Christian should do when confronted with these sources of satanism.

Could not even finish the book. Boring.

Each chapter was written by a different author. There are some interesting, and scripturally sound things these authors
have to say about ghosts, vampires, aliens, werewolves, and the like.

It makes for a fascinating read.

It was quite a ride reading this book which covered lots of the darker side of humanity. Initially I was curious about the latest fascination our society has with vampires and it kept going from there. Sometimes it even shared more than I wanted to know! What I appreciated was the way even Bible verses were incorporated into the subject to inform the reader why such things need to be avoided and not because someone else says so. It explains why we must be diligent in guarding our souls from the spiritual warfare prevalent in the world today. I have always been puzzled about the unidentified flying object phenomena and how it fits into the scheme of things and that is covered also! Good reading for those with a curiosity about what you may be seeing on TV.
