Helpful for Applying MBTI to Congregational Life,
By E (rural Minnesota) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gods Gifted People (Paperback)
This little book takes the information from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality profile and applies it to how people's personalities might be most effectively plugged in to congregational life.A short version of the indicator is included in the book, along with information on how to obtain the full survey. All sixteen types are listed, their type described, and possible "fits" in church life suggested. The author, a psychologist, consultant, seminary teacher, and author, is careful in his application of the MBTI results-- more suggestive than prescriptive. A very helpful book. Anyone interested in the dynamics of congregational life and helping members use their gifts for ministry should appreciate the author's insights! |
