Superb treatment of theonomic ethics!, February 17, 2000
This review is from: God's Law and Society [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is the definitive treatment of theonomic ethics available on video! Sixteen Christian authors, pastors and scholars contributed to this tour de force survey of the Ten Commandments, biblical law, and how theonomic ethics can be applied to curing our sin-sick culture. George Grant, R.J. Rushdoony, R.C. Sproul Jr., Howard Phillips, Ken Gentry, Gary DeMar and others contribute to this fascinating look at biblical ethics in a postmodernist world. The video is easily adapted to Sunday School and Bible study classes. Many of my friends have seen this video and it has both challenged and encouraged them in their Christian world and life view.

Deep theology well-packaged for the biblically illiterate, February 8, 2000
This review is from: God's Law and Society [VHS] (VHS Tape)
People everywhere have been commenting to me recently about this video. They are telling me things such as the following: It's refreshing to see a work that takes the 10 Commandments (the heart of the moral Law of God) seriously. Those who believe that Old Testament law is invalid need to honestly answer these questions: When we read the New Testament do we find the ethical standard changed from the Old Testament? Did Christ and the Apostles reveal a brand new, comprehensive, ethical system? This is good stuff! Profound theology well-packaged for the biblically illiterate masses in the format they best understand Ñ talking heads illustrated with frequent graphics. God's Law and Society is great for for a Sunday School curriculum and small group Bible study. The videos are very well focused on specific issues regarding a Biblical view of civil government. All Americans need to understand that if we are to remain free, we must stand on the unalterable word of God. Many people do not yet understand the importance of God in the totality of our lives, including our government, our workplace, the education of our children and the whole of society. By viewing this video, they will begin to understand. GodÕs Law and Society also studies the founding of our nation and what our forefathers, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights had to say about God's Law. Making this relevant or today, the video teachings address how we as individual Americans citizens can better serve in our churches and community. This ought to be on local public access cable everywhere. The video makes a brilliant application of the Law of God to both the ChristianÔs life and society. This is possibly one of the most important videos on Christian living.
