Product Description

God's Messenger, a compelling work about Spiritual Gifts, is a practical guidebook for the expression of such gifts as Prophecy. Often times the expression of these gifts go hand-in-hand with alot of strangeness and weird activity, and consequently are dismissed by the onlookers. Pastor Tom gives some sage and practical advice into the receiving of revelations from the Holy Spirit and distilling them into messages that can be readily received by those who should benefit from them.  Anyone desiring to excell in the expression of Spiritual Gifts, especially the Gift of Prophecy, should have in their possession this book. (edited by author)

From the Inside Flap

"In this book, Tom Maus uses his prophetic/teaching gift to give us a foundational message for sound Biblical Prophecy. His encouragement to be faithful to the message challenges us to develop credibility in speaking for God. Tom presents some wise practical ideas to remove some of the confusion related to the operation of spiritual gifts. This book would be an excellent 8-12 week study of sound foundations in Biblical Prophecy. You cannot read this book without being encouraged to do more in seeking God in the practice of the prophetic." - Keith W. Stroup, Pastor, The River Center in Lebanon, Oregon (added by author)

This review is from: God's Messenger: Called to Deliver Holy Spirit Revelation (Paperback)
Pastor Tom did a great job with writing this book. The book is a quick, easy read, but full of insightful information. It is easy to see Pastor Tom's personality, as well as his sense of humor as you read the book. His personality makes the somewhat confusing subject of spiritual gifts easy to understand. He clearly defines the gifts and speaks about why we don't use them and how to overcome that. The book left me intrigued with a desire to learn more and be used by God to the fullest.

Tom has brilliantly captured the simplicity of understanding the gifts of the Holy Spirit, especially the gift of prophecy. He has made it so that anyone can comprehend the subject. Not only is it an easy read, but you can see his passion come through his writing. I recommend this to anyone who has questions about the gifts of the Holy Spirit; for it will bring answers to your questions, and/or it will help with your understanding of the subject at hand and strengthen your views.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspired Insight!, November 23, 2008

Pastor Maus' take on the gifting of the Holy Spirit is definantly worth the read. He takes the sometimes confusing and controversial subject of the Spiritual Gifts and makes it clearer. Some would call it "putting the cookies on a lower shelf." I like the way he makes effective use of real life experiences to illustrate his points.

One of the things that I got most from the book was the way he categorizes the gifts. It makes more sense and took away some of my confusion and some of the mystery.
