I loved this book. As a kindergarten teacher, I feel that it's right on traget for the 5 -12 year old range. I passed my copy to a former student and she loves it!! If you are looking for a great devotional book for a young girl, run to your local bookstore and buy one today!!

This children's book is a collection of bible verses separated by topic. The book is most likely appropriate for 8-11 year olds. Each section normally begins with a picture and then a question or phrase relating to the topic. It is then followed by a collection of bible verses.

When I chose this book I was expecting a good reference book for girls. One where if they had an issue they could look up a topic and find applicable biblical truths. However, I was surprised to find that I personally did not like this book. They got their verses from the International Children's Bible®. The wording for the verses was at times awkward and not clear. It was hard to understand the point they wanted the girls to see on each topic. I felt like the verses they used for certain topics were irrelevant. I would have liked the book a lot better if the verses were more relevant to the topics.

I have this book in the "boy version" for my son and was so excited to see one for little girls when my daughter arrived. I love the illustrations and the application of Scripture to every day life. It's never too early to teach how to apply God's Word in our lives in every circumstance. These would also make a great gift for young child or for a baby shower!
