I wish I could express the magnitude of how Keri Wyatt Kent's book has influenced my life, and everyone else in my bible study group. We have been blessed repeatedly by her wise perspective on parenting young children. As I read the book, I kept on saying to myself..."that's me," "that's how I feel, I thought I was the only one..."

Keri has been so blessed to be able to write in such plain and understandable terms about such a confusing, crazy, guilt-ridden, lonely, time in a mother's life. Who knew that we didn't have to put our spiritual lives on hold while our children ruled our worlds!? God is there and wants to speak to us...how, you ask? As I've told everyone I know, READ THIS BOOK. Whether a Christian or not, this book will help you find meaning in motherhood.

God Bless Keri. I feel so blessed that she is also a bible study teacher at my church, and I just keep on getting blessed by her God-given wisdom.

Regardless of the title, this is not just a book for mothers. I found myself reading sections to my husband and my children (ages 16,13 and 11) - and they too enjoyed it. This is a book for anyone who has ever found themselves feeling overwhelmed by the everyday things that can clutter our lives. We are all so busy with this everyday chaos that we don't make time for what's most important - our own spiritual wellness. This is a very thought provoking, enjoyable read. I found myself nodding my head in agreement as I turned each page - wishing the pages wouldn't end. Thank you Keri Wyatt Kent for sharing your chaos and pointing out just how important the whisper can be.

Keri Wyatt Kent's book, God's Whisper in a Mother's Chaos, hits moms where we live. She is painfully honest and lets us share in her perceived failings so that we may learn the importance of stopping, in the midst of motherloads of chaos, to hear God's gentle whisper of acceptance and love. We are reminded that by our own standards we will never measure up, and that times of solitude and silence are often the best gift we can give our children and ourselves. Wonderful encouragement for mothers of any stage.

God's Whisper is easy to read yet filled with authentic treasures the author undoubtedly acquired by listening to Jesus.

Many mothers desperately want to spend time with God but lack the energy or time to implement spiritual disciplines. For those moms, Kent's book will be a breath of fresh air. By honestly revealing her own struggles and the answers God gently led her to, the author helps moms realize that we can pray through the day (while washing dishes, driving carpool, sorting laundry) and that our spiritual life doesn't have to suffer because we don't have hours to devote to Bible study. What a relief!

I can not tell you how this book has me slow down and really appreciate the relationship I have with God. Keri Wyatt Kent says that often times others base your spiritual life on how many times you read your Bible, how often you spend in prayer etc. Not that these things aren't important but we can find God in the everyday things that life presents us with if we just take a few moments to listen and be still. I have 2 young boys so I don't have alot time for myself. This book showed me that I can worship God in the little things day to day.

This was the first book (besides a children's book) that I read cover to cover after becoming a mom. As wonderful as being a mom is, I was rather overwhelmed during the first year. I began to wonder if I would ever find my way back to peace and calm. This book helped me not only to realize that I was not alone, but also to learn practical steps I could take in order to draw closer to God in this new and busy season of my life. I highly recommend it to all moms out there.

Keri speaks to the heart of the issue - that as moms, are time seems limited; but that God not only understands, He wants to meet us where we are. Keri reminds me that I am loved by my Creator - what more could you hope for out of a book?

This book is well worth the price! It is well-written, thought provoking, easy to read and encouraging. I highlighted much of it, knowing that I would come back to its wisdom again and again. Keri Wyatt Kent is a gifted writer and her wisdom cuts through the chaos of parenting small children. She enabled me to discover God's voice in even the most unexpected moments and freed me to more fully love both my children and myself. I highly recommend it.

I highlighed much of it knowing I would refer to it again and again. Thanks to Keri, I'm able to more fully enjoy my moments as a mother and I've learned to hear God's whisper even in the most frustrating, unexpected moments. This is a must read for anyone with small children.
