God's To-do List: 103 Ways to Be an Angel and Do God's Work on Earth, January 15, 2007
This review is from: God's To-do List: 103 Ways to Be an Angel and Do God's Work on Earth (Paperback)
God's To-do List lives up to its title. It is a heartwarming and practical look at unassuming ways people do God's work everyday. Wolfson challenges readers to do the same in their own life. He provides suggestions and opportunities to personalize their list. It is difficult to come away from this book without recognizing angels in your own life and believing that each of us can make a difference. It's a great gift and those I have given it to have purchased it to give as gifts also.

What's God Got to Do With It?, March 2, 2010
This review is from: God's To-do List: 103 Ways to Be an Angel and Do God's Work on Earth (Paperback)
Going for a long drive somewhere? Got a friend you'd like to read and study with? That's all it takes to turn Dr. Wolfson's book into an experiential education session.
And so it began, on a ride from West Palm Beach to Orlando, with the brand new volume of Dr. Wolfson's newest personal challenge, "God's To-Do List:103 Ways to Be an Angel and Do God's Work on Earth".
Dr. Wolfson has broken the list down to 10 really important mitzvot, and created easy, accessible processes for action and discussion. Each chapter illuminates little acts of kindness that make a huge difference in the lives of others, and in our own lives. And as Dr. Wolfson teaches, "What if ...?" What if we could really become an Angel on earth?
One example of Dr. Wolfson's teaching is in the chapter "Call". "Speaking of mothers, have you talked to yours lately?" he asks. This is a perfect example of what might seem hard, but is really easy.
I listened in last Shabbat as a close friend of mine called his 92 year-old mother. He took a moment just before his traditional Shabbat nap and phoned home. He asked his mother how she was doing, told her where he was and what he was doing, and before you know it, she had rushed him off the phone.
Mission accomplished in under two minutes. What does your Mom really want from you? A moment of your time, the sound of your voice, a concerned question that lets her know that you care. Mitzvah: Honor your mother, you little angel!
So, Dr. Wolfson, in his warm, wonderful, and essentially human style invites us to become better people. He creates a do-able "To-Do List" and makes it easy for us to achieve new and worthy goals. He prods us along the way, makes us laugh and cry, and even suggests a really good starting point, "Tens Days of Renewal" during the High Holy Days, one chapter at a time.
We can do this!
