This retelling of the story of Jesus, inspired by gnostic as well as canonical gospels, seeks to help people recognize the truths Jesus experienced and to give birth to Christ in their own lives. The book is designed to be used in groups, either during a retreat or in five weekly meetings organized around five themes of Jesus' birth, discovery of his identity, love, miracles, and resurrection. Houston suggests appropriate music, scripture readings, materials, and describes the process. Houston also reflects on some of her experiences which imaged an aspect of God for her. Recommended for large public libraries.
