I've been hearing Ellis Hooks on the Blues Chanel of Muisc Choice for years but this is the first album of his I've ever bought. It won't be the last! What a great album! Not a bad song on it. The band's great and Ellis is singing his butt off! Blues, Soul, R&B, Rock & Roll, it's all on here without sounding forced or out of place. Two thumbs way up on this one!

If you like Sam Cooke styled soul, you will definitely like this CD by Ellis Hooks. Also of note, the album features Chester Thompson on drums (best known for his work with Genesis, Weather Report, and Frank Zappa and The Mothers).
