Godzilla Bandai 6.5 Inch Classic Figure Godzilla 1968

The 1968 model is also known as Soshingekigoji, named after the movie Attack of the Marching Monsters which was released in 1968.
This particular model was used in the other Godzilla movies until 1972.

To me, this is GODZILLA that I know. However, among Godzilla novelty goods collectors, this particular model manufactured by Bandai Creation or Bandai Japan is not very popular because of its face expression and the color of the mouth is too pink.
Eventhough it's not popular among most of the others, it's still the best Godzilla figure to me.

The toy itself is durable and well made. There is nothing to complain about.
Actual size is 7" tall.
If you want the best 68 model made by Bandai, get the 50th anniversary model among with other great year models come in the package.
It might be super expensive as of 2010 though...

I asked my 6 year old son to choose 1 toy and he chose this. I got it in December. It's his first Godzilla toy and he loves it. It is just the right size for him to hold and bring along. The parts are tight enough to endure rough play but loose enough to move. It is also a perfect match for his toy soldiers when he tries to set up a scene similar to the ones in the movies. We also got lucky (i think) for we got it for only $[...]. Talk about a great buy!
