5.0 out of 5 stars A VERY GOOD GAME FOR GAMEBOYCOLOR
It is very intense for a hand held game. I think it has the best graphics that gameboycolor has released in a gameboy or gameboycolor game. If you like monsters you will like this game because you are godzilla in the game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Godzilla-An Excellent Game for Beginners
Finally! A cool game for Game Boy beginners. The premise closely follows the tv series; Godzilla battles biological mutations and military forces. Finally! A cool game for Game Boy beginners. The premise closely follows the tv series; Godzilla battles biological mutations and military forces. Play is simply and overall, the game is moderately difficult. This game automatically scrolls from left to right so your child can focus on and thus enjoy game play rather than worry about forward progress. Game play consists of Godzilla clawing, biting, tail whipping and flame blasting all kinds of enemies. There is a meter which allows you to moniter Godzilla's strength as he takes hits. The violence factor is mild. Highly recommended for beginners and age appropriate for kids as young as age 6. If your an experienced gamer, forget it unless your a huge Godzilla fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Godzilla Mom, December 27, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Godzilla: The Series (Game Cartridge)
I bought this for my son, just a hair under 5 years old, for Christmas. He LOVES it! He is very Godzilla savy for the ripe old age of five, but a first time Gameboy user. He took to the game like a fish to water. I highly recommend the game for young men just embarking on their Gameboy Oddesey!

This game is terrible. Godzilla walks at a snail's pace (isn't the American G supposed to be fleet-footed and agile?) and all you do is move your head up and down and shoot little snotballs (supposedly his atomic breath, but it looks pretty lame) at toy helicopters. You can also stomp and tail whip and slap, but it's all the same after awhile. The graphics are decent for GBC, but the game play is non-existant and the storylines are just a few random lines taken from the TV series. Furthermore, if you have the patience to sit through the monotony of the levels, it's way too easy. GODZILLA THE SERIES like Space Invaders, but it's not as much fun. Even hardcore fans will have a hard time liking this one.

Someone is messing with Godzilla's brain,so he is going to mess with them.In this game you battle through six levels of action-packed adventure.I loved fighting machines and monsters.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK, but too easy, September 13, 2002

This was my first godzilla game. It was OK at first, but it just got duller and duller and duller...Besides, it's way too easy to beat. I've beaten it like 20 times now I think this week. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this, but rather purchase Monster Wars instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars A monster of a game, March 10, 2004
This review is from: Godzilla: The Series (Game Cartridge)
Godzilla is a game like the railed shooters on PCs. the game basically has you playing a Godzilla. You have no control over godzilla's movements as he walks on his own free will...sideways. You get to control his tail to attack, his head to breath fire and bite, his paws to take cover and to swipe with his pwas and his legs to thump the ground and cause a shockwave destroying everthing near him. Well if you are stiil reading this review then you will have guessed by now the nature of the game. If you find this kind of gameplay to be your idea of fun then you are welcome. Though I was apprehensive about the game at first but i got to know the finer points of this game. This game is too short though as it can be finished under 5 hours. The graphics are great for a color gameboy system and the sounds are well mediocre. The gameplay is quite easy and most beginners will be able to finish this game. Overall I give it 4 stars out of 5.

3.0 out of 5 stars The game needs to be more intense., September 1, 2000

The Game would be a lot better if it were a fighting game. N64 should release a fighting game containg all the monsters frome the Japanese Godzilla series. Does anyone else think the way I do?
