Product Description

The Godzilla plush measures approximately 6 inches.Mothra is always on a mission rather than a blindly rampaging menace. The colorful mothra like most insects started as a rather ugly larvae.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Hasn't Left My Daughter's Side Yet, March 25, 2010

This review is from: Godzilla Mothra Larvae Plush Figure (Toy)
Who knew that when I introduced my daughter to Godzilla that it would capture her like nothing else has?

About 3 months ago I happened to flip on "Godzilla 2000", my daughter climbed into my lap and we watched as Tokyo got flattened. I grew up on Godzilla and remember watching all of the movies when they came on my local Creature Feature. I figured my daughter would laugh at the goofy special effects and move on in about 10 minutes. Instead she sat mesmerized for the entire film....then wanted to watch more. Over the next couple of weeks we worked our way through the entire series, from the original "Gojira" to "Final Wars"...and she's loved them all.

But of all the creatures she was introduced to, none captured her imagination the way Mothra has. She LOVES Mothra, in both the Larvae form as well as the multi-colored moth form. When I stumbled across this plush here on Amazon, I knew I had to pick it up for her.

The stuffed Mothra is about 8" long, the head is about the circumference of a Coke can, which then tapers off to the tail. It's pretty bendable, and rugged too. She's carried this little larvae EVERYWHERE for about a month now, and it's made it through two blizzards, a trip to Gettysburg, countless sleepovers, and most harrowing of all....through numerous bus trips to and from 2nd Grade.

I think the best part about this toy are the strange looks she gets from folks who see her toting this thing around. Most people have no idea what it is and that is fun in itself....but every now and again you run into someone who says "Mothra???"..and the little sparkle my daughter gets in her eye when she runs into a fellow Godzilla-phile makes this toy one of the all time greatest.
