Post Impressionist art kit inspired by the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh - 12x16. Famous Art Kits are designed so that ANYONE can paint beautiful pictures inspired by famous artists- you will be amazed at the results even if you have no painting experience. All of our kits are attractively packaged and labeled. Our kits are NOT PAINT BY NUMBER kits- but, the finished painting looks just like our advertising pictures. In this kit the accurate drawing of the scene is all done for you on a genuine artist's CANVAS, and then tack mounted onto a piece of foam core art board to make it ready for your frame. The acrylic paints and quality artist brushes are provided. Most of the acrylic colors are premixed- any color mixing is done right on the picture. The instructions are comprehensive, yet easy to follow. There are NO NUMBERS on the preprinted canvas, instead there are color pictures showing each step of the painting. You will build your painting from the ground up, one color at a time. Your finished painting will look just like the advertising picture- not like a paint by number. These kits can be painted by beginners if they can follow directions and control a brush and contain everything you need to finish the painting successfully. You will be actually learning to paint with acrylics.

Great kit- so good that I framed it!,

I have purchased all of the Famous Art Kits and can't wait till they come out with more. I have tried paint by numbers and they always looked like paint by numbers, not real paintings. Famous Art Kits look like the real thing because they are. The paints are a better quality than other kits and the brush lasts for the whole painting and beyond. I would never have believed that I could paint a picture- but with these kits it's easy. There are great instructions and pictures of every step. The Almond Blossom kit is the easiest of all their kits, but it is such a striking picture that I framed it- I'm going to do the same with all the rest as soon as I can afford the frames. The canvas comes with a backing board, but it is not attached. I just used 5 or 6 small dabs of Elmer's glue around the outside of the board and it mounted right up and was ready to frame. The only thing about Famous Art Kits that you should know is that they do not come in a fancy box, just a shrink wrap. They are such a quality product otherwise that I have given them as gifts fancy box or not. I highly recommend this product for anyone with an artistic bent or who wants to learn about painting with acrylics.

This kit from Famous Artist Kits was the easiest I've done. It's a simple scene, but when it's finished and framed it is absolutely striking- as are all of Van Gogh's paintings. These kits have no numbers, but they do have great instructions and I can't wait until they come out with more of them. They've promised to do at least 12 this year and I hope they do. I highly recommend these kits.

nice, relatively easy even for a first time painter like me. there's enough paint, but downside is, difficult to find an inexpensive but nice frame. another is, i saw the van gogh almond branch painting. unfortunately it was after i've done this and it looks different from this. the flowers on the real one had pointed petals, and the center of the flowers and the branches were of different paint color. was ok with this til i saw the real one. they don't look the same.
