I have purchased all of the Famous Art Kits and can't wait till they come out with more. I have tried paint by numbers and they always looked like paint by numbers, not real paintings. Famous Art Kits look like the real thing because they are. The paints are a better quality than other kits and the brush lasts for the whole painting and beyond. I would never have believed that I could paint a picture- but with these kits it's easy. There are great instructions and pictures of every step. The Almond Blossom kit is the easiest of all their kits, but it is such a striking picture that I framed it- I'm going to do the same with all the rest as soon as I can afford the frames. The canvas comes with a backing board, but it is not attached. I just used 5 or 6 small dabs of Elmer's glue around the outside of the board and it mounted right up and was ready to frame. The only thing about Famous Art Kits that you should know is that they do not come in a fancy box, just a shrink wrap. They are such a quality product otherwise that I have given them as gifts fancy box or not. I highly recommend this product for anyone with an artistic bent or who wants to learn about painting with acrylics.

This kit from Famous Artist Kits was the easiest I've done. It's a simple scene, but when it's finished and framed it is absolutely striking- as are all of Van Gogh's paintings. These kits have no numbers, but they do have great instructions and I can't wait until they come out with more of them. They've promised to do at least 12 this year and I hope they do. I highly recommend these kits.

nice, relatively easy even for a first time painter like me. there's enough paint, but downside is, difficult to find an inexpensive but nice frame. another is, i saw the van gogh almond branch painting. unfortunately it was after i've done this and it looks different from this. the flowers on the real one had pointed petals, and the center of the flowers and the branches were of different paint color. was ok with this til i saw the real one. they don't look the same.

I like all Van Gogh paintings, so far did 3, and this one was my first. Again, you are challenged as the details are up to you and you have to pay a lot of attention as you can get lost easily. Definitely not for beginners. The blue color came out really well, but needs two coats. Simple yet astonishing! Take your time when doing this paining!
