5.0 out of 5 stars Sanders a class act, April 21, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Goin' To Chicago (Audio CD)
I used to see Steve Sanders at a restaurant in Chicago in about 1996 and 1997, and thought he was great. I bought the CD now several years ago and continue to listen to is regularly and enjoy it. I am glad I did because not long after that he moved on to bigger and better gigs.

It is a good balance of authentic jazz music with spunk, together with a very listenable timbre. I am now married, and it has joined my wife's favorates as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars this just plain swings!, January 19, 2011
This review is from: Goin' To Chicago (Audio CD)
This is a really good session that Steve did a few years ago with three top notch musicians. Steve's trio on this includes Stewart Miller on string bass and Charles McFarlan on Drums. Joining the trio was Detroit trumpeter Marcus Belgrave, and it was a fabulous session of straight ahead jazz, with both Steve and Marcus doing some vocals, too. Steve now resides in Sedona, Arizona, but gets back to the Midwest and Chicago regularly. This is a great addition to your music library, and especially if you miss seeing Steve "Live and in person!" Five Stars all the way!
