Goin' South, Vol. 2 is a good mix of Southern rock feel. I too had a hard time when I looked at all the bands but when you listen, you'll understand that Southern Rock is more of a style and genre within the rock genre than it is purely Southern bands or groups.

I think the feel of all the music is what they are after and I love the music. If you want a good mix of that good old Southern Rock feel, go for it. If you want authentic Southern-only bands, don't do it! Regardless, not a bad mix at all...

The original version is over 6 minutes. I bought this collection for that song. Very disappointing.

I absolutely loved the first volume of Goin' South. Although I didn't buy Vol. II, I'm sure I'd love it also, as it contains only about 3 or 4 new songs not on Vol. I. If you can buy the double-cd Vol. I, do it!! If you'd prefer the single cd Vol. II, do that then. I found the quality of the recordings just fine and thoroughly loved the good southern rock.

After Vol.1 I was very disapointed in Vol.2. I expected different songs.

This album is a perfect folow-up to the first. You need to pURchase both the first AND second volumes to get all of the music on both of the CD's. The Platinum edition is also very good, but there were a lot of the songs missing that I wanted. So, hence the need to have both volumes, 1 & 2.

Although the choice of artists was very good, the style of music not my favorite.

I have volume 1 and I love it. So when I saw volume 2 I wanted it but when I say the songs, I was disappointed. Why do they need to repeat some songs? It's not like there isn't enough southern rock to go around. They could have done another CD with all different songs from volume 1. Whoever chose the songs for volume 2 should be fired.....along with the guy who chose the cover. Give me a break! Don't they think women love Souther Rock?
