I felt the book was extremely helpful to me. I am in the process of planning for my Afrocentric wedding in the year 2000 and the book gave me a starting place. It also gave me some cultural background and insight that will be helpful not only for my wedding but my marriage as well.

A quick spur of the moment wedding that I had waiting for my entire life, this book was wonderful in setting your own themes and using creativity in a new non-traditional way. The types of weddings we choose vary and so do our tastes. I won't say this book saved my life but it did give me a more grounded reality of how I could adapt the wedding to my "our" tastes and also gave contact information on various venues. Very helpful.

I am now planning my wedding for the year 2000 and it is wonderful to know that there is a book out there that is taking me through this hectic process step by exciting step. I want to thank the publishers of singnature bride for creating such a wonderful source of information for people of color. I will pass the book on to my friends. Thank you so much for all the help.
