We must all thank Raven Records for making these two long-deleted albums available on CD. Although neither of the two LPs reissued on this CD were commercial successes they are chock-full of superb adult-oriented Philly Soul from one of Philadelphia International's classiest and most sophisticated singers. In retrospect, Billy Paul's PIR recordings foreshadow what label bosses would accomplish with Lou Rawls during the second half of the 1970s. Billy Paul's laid-back, jazzy, breezy and sophisticated singing style deservedly earned him a place in the hearts of fans of romantic Soul fans--all of whom will love this reissue.

Billy Paul's music is in a category all by itself. Many of his albums are not in circulation. This was a great CD especially the songs from War of The Gods "I Was Married"! I have gone through great length to find that song and or the War of The Gods Album. If the whole album is ever reprinted for circulation, make sure I am on your list to purchase. I love Billy Paul,s music, it is unique!!!

My title pretty much summarizes what this cd is like....it has some really beautiful tracks. Its definitely real music.

This collection of music by Billy Paul is just great. And by being Two albums in one gave me the music I want most with one purchase. It does not have "Me and Misses Jones". But I didn't want that one.
