4.0 out of 5 stars Smallest, Lightest, Greatest Load Capicity
I travel from the US to foreign countries with three pieces of luggage
weighing 180 lbs. Two big square soft sided duffel bags at 70 lbs each that I check and a 40 lb carryon. I need a cart to get all three pieces from the curb to the airline counter, then roll my carryon to the gate, down the jetway, then collapse the luggage cart, put it inside my carryon bag and...

3.0 out of 5 stars so so luggage cart
This cart is made of durable plastic, so it is light but a bit more flexible than I would have expected. It held 75 lb packages a few hundred yards into a trade show, which is all I needed, but I do not expect it to be very durable over time. I think there are metal carts out there for the same price that are better value.

I travel from the US to foreign countries with three pieces of luggage
weighing 180 lbs. Two big square soft sided duffel bags at 70 lbs each that I check and a 40 lb carryon. I need a cart to get all three pieces from the curb to the airline counter, then roll my carryon to the gate, down the jetway, then collapse the luggage cart, put it inside my carryon bag and board the plane. This cart is rated at 75 lbs yet I've made many trips using it in this manner. I am on my second cart though as I have found it's limitations.
It will not survive with this much weight on it pulling it up a curb! The telescoping arms pulled out of the bottom sections. I was able to put it back together to make it home but once is was disjointed it was never the same. I've just destroyed my second cart after rolling this load on and off ferrys in Greece for a month. I have owned and tried other carts but none are as light and fold down small enough to fit in a carryon yet [almost]handle this much weight. So I am here shopping for something the same size but more robust. I'm actually considering have a copy welded up in tubular aircraft aluminum.
I thought someone else shopping for a luggage cart with a lighter load might like to know what a great design this is.

4.0 out of 5 stars handy sturdy cart, August 26, 2006
This review is from: Travel Folding Luggage Cart (Apparel)
So far, I'm pretty satisfied with this product. It's light and easy to fold up for placement in carry-on baggage, yet durable enough to support several pieces of luggage. The handle can be pulled out to a length that is comfortable for someone of above-average height and arm span. It's held up even when items have accidentally been pulled off the base.

I was taking a course in Interior Design at our community college, and the parking lot nearest the building was closed for rebuilding. The course required that we bring drafting tools and supplies every week; with case and purse, this came to about 20 pounds. I'm 70 and 5 ft tall, and hiking with that load isn't my idea of a good time. The cart did the lugging for me but was light and easy to fold up to return to the trunk of my car. Love this thing! Thank goodness that semester is over. I'll use it when travelling, too.

This cart is light yet durable and folds down flat and compact and easily fits into carry on. I use it to haul medical equipment into a baseball park and it negotiates bumps and potholes without a problem. Definately worth the price, especially if you need the convenience of compact.

4.0 out of 5 stars One tough little luggage cart, September 29, 2008

This cart was purchased for use on a recent barge trip in France because of the limitations imposed on the type of luggage that could be taken. It carried two soft bags totaling about 50 pounds in weight and was loaded and unloaded many times during the course of the trip. The luggage handlers were not at all gentle on it and I had fears that it would not make it to the end of the trip. I can report that although it carries several scratches it is structurally sound and ready for my next trip. I add that on the flight back it was left attached to a carry-on bag and there were no problems storing it in the over-head bin. R.Davis

I was impressed with the quality of this luggage cart. I took it on my first trip recently and it did not disappoint. Easy to use, high quality materials and fits nicely in my carryon bag. Although, it may be a little more expensive than some of the other brands, the quality is worth it. Tough to find a good quality item to help lug items through the airport, although I do have wheeled pieces, I prefer using my soft sided luggage pieces to ensure I can fit them on the plane.

I bought this to go with my Rick Steve's convertible bag as a shoulder injury made backpacking painful. It fits perfectly inside the big zipper compartment right behind the 2 smaller zipped compartments on the "lid" of the bag. Folds up easily and I don't have to worry about losing it in the baggage handling process. Study little cart, easily holds the Rick Steve's bag and my laptop bag, no problem. The handle is also a great height for me, some are too short.

Worked perfectly! I used it to cart my travel dog's crate (under seat) in airport from one gate to another through escalators and walkways. Then I folded it and put it in my carry on suitcase. Perfect little luggage carrier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent luggage cart, December 27, 2009

I have used this several times when traveling by air, and it has performed well. Sometimes the handle would move forward slightly if the elastic cord was attached at the top of the handle as in the picture. Attaching it there also means unhooking it to remove a briefcase slid onto the handle above the bag. I shortened the cords by tying knots in them and attached them lower on the handle. Worked fine. In fact, one time as I was checking in, the person at the counter said I would have to check my bag (small plane). I left the cart attached to my bag, and it arrived at my destination unharmed. It is light and folds compactly.

I bought this to go with my Rick Steves lightweight carryon luggage, so that I could met European airlines limits for weight for carry one, and still be able to wheel it through airports. It worked great! I'll use it for other purposes, but it met my primary purpose for purchase.
